Question/Discussion ABSN Typical Week?
Can anyone who is currently in the ABSN program or been in it share what a typical week is like? Working a part-time job doable during the program?

For those who played football at Nevada during Brian Polian’s tenure from 2013-2016, I want to know what was practice like with him as a coach. I’m always curious as to why a majority of his wins were closer than expected.
I also want to know why he never put names on the jerseys for players when Jay Norvell did it after he left.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for someone to take over my lease at The Republic Reno, ideally in December 2026 or January 2027. I'm flexible with the move-in date!
It's a 4-bedroom apartment shared with 2 female roommates and 1 male roommate. Everyone is very clean, respectful, and easy to get along with.
Apartment & Community Features:
It's a great option for UNR students or anyone looking for a comfortable living situation in Reno.
Feel free to DM me if you're interested! I can send over pictures, rent details, and any questions. Happy to work with you on the move-in date!

Are you planning a trip or traveling home to Ghana or West Africa for the upcoming break?
I am a member of the UNR community holding physical Ghanaian cedi banknotes. I am looking to sell them for U.S. Dollars in small, manageable tranches (ranging from $500 to $1,500 USD equivalent).
• Rate: Exact Google/Xe mid-market rate on the day of the swap (Win-win: You get cash for your trip without paying steep 10–15% airport kiosk exchange fees).
• Safety: Transactions will take place strictly on campus in a secure, public location during daylight hours. ( UNR Campus Police Station Safety Exchange)
If you are interested in avoiding retail exchange fees for your upcoming travel cash, please reach out to me!
As my schedule permits, the only available professor for my Chem-122 Lecture is Brian Rolczynski. Checked rate my professor, what is your guys’s best advice? I already am not the best at chemistry, so anything helps.

UNLV Board of Regents GPSA Town Hall Tonight
UPDATE: LIVE STREAM[YouTube Live Stream](https://www.youtube.com/live/y3Ox51oK-d8?si=sX6Otxw4Wp0t1EWx)
Now that I have a live stream link, I'm sharing with other NSHE related boards
Hi everyone. Lori Lane again (running for Board of Regents, District 8)
Tonight at 6pm the GPSA will be hosting a town hall with the Board of Regents candidates.
From the website:
6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Holbert H. Hendrix Education Auditorium (HEA 105) on the UNLV campus. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
This Town Hall event is hosted by the Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA), UNLV's graduate student government.
GPSA has prepared questions addressing the following topics:
UNLV Tuition and Fee Increases
Campus Security and Safety
Board Dynamics and Collaboration
Student Worker Rights
The IDEA Committee & Diversity
Support for Nontraditional and International Students
Nevada's K-12 to NSHE Pipeline
Additional questions will be asked by audience members during the second half of the event. Questions will be screened by the event team to ensure they are appropriate for the forum and relevant to the role of Regent.
If you don't know which District you are in, you can find it [here](https://nvlcb.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/lookup/index.html?appid=0815e77623f04028993e9f3ecc56174e)
I have reached out asking if there's a live stream link, so I'll update if there is.
You can find my website here: [lorilovesnevada.com](http://lorilovesnevada.com)
If you click on the Board of Regents section, you can read about the tuition hikes (and how they are actually 31.75%, not 12%), faculty joining the unions
If you're interested inn the legislation I'm propsing you can check out FLUX (remote credit (with no nshe fees) program providing new degrees and generating passive income for schools) and FANS for hands on creation programs like HOWL (Haunts) and other entertainment/experiential programs.
If you are in the film program, you may want to check out the changes I'm proposing.
Only Board questions are allowed tonight. If you have any questions you'd like to ask, feel free to hit up the subreddit I made E3_Nevada
(Education, Entertainment & Experiential)
You can ask them below instead if you'd like.

As a warning to folks, I left my lunch box on the back of my bicycle for 50 minutes outside the Ansari building (as I’ve done since August) and someone stole it, my lunch, and my rear light. Never thought it’d happen to me and it ruined my day.
It’s in camera view but I don’t figure there’s anything the campus police would/could do.

I graduated from UNR in December 2019, ending the decade on a high note. I haven’t took a class since December 2019 and I’m still convinced that at the age of thirty, I will never attend grad school and just work for the rest of my life.
As an alumni, I want to know how much has UNR changed since then. Haws UNR changed? I’m talking about the quality of the classes, the teaching, the academic resources, the campus life, dorms, sororities and fraternities, athletics, and UNR in general.
I’m aware of ai being used in education and has the university been cracking down on ai or has there been reports of ai usage in class. I knew plagiarism is a zero tolerance thing at universities but I’m curious to know if ai is being used or not.
Has COVID affected college life for the worse or not? I graduated just before the pandemic started so I was lucky enough to finish school before everything went down.
While I’m happy I got a diploma from UNR, it has become less of a thing to remember compared to high school. I devoted too much time studying at the library and never join a fraternity because of the toxic environment of them. I don’t know why, but college hasn’t been a part of my life since I graduated. The more I think about it, the less I have a strong connection to it. I still think about my K-12 days more, especially high school and the teachers and coaches who were part of that experience compared to the numerous professors I had.
From starting pre-school in 2001 to graduating from college with a bachelor’s degree in 2019, I was in a classroom non stop and it worn out on me. While there have been ups and downs since I began my post education life in January 2020, I got to experience the joys of it.
So to finish it all up, I’m asking as an alumni how has UNR turned out since then.

Where to live as a 3rd yr transfer student (female 20 y/o). Would like to be around other students as I won’t know anyone when transferring next fall. Any specific apartments that are recommended or to avoid? Also what can I expect rent wise for a single room with roommates?

She has a psychology professor with no ratings. Wondering if she is any good or terrible like much of the psych department professors.

This car is being towed outside Canyon Flats, hopefully the owner sees this so their car doesn’t get impounded

Hi guys I'm figuring out college all by myself and I'm so scared bro
I just applied to UNR as a transfer student from California, and I selected a BA in Art with a sub plan of Digital Media. I plan to minor in Marketing here as well. I just applied today, so I'm waiting for a response or follow up email. For context, I'll be graduating/transferring from my community college in May with an AA in Graphic Design, and my ultimate goal is to land a career in advertising/photo editing.
I guess my biggest questions are what is the major like for other students here? Like what should I know and be prepared for about campus and classes? As far as I'm aware it's actually in Reno, but I just saw something about campus for art being up by Tahoe like hello T-T
If there's anyone who goes here who can help me understand what I'm doing a little bit better I would be super grateful !!!
