My Ring hater membership number is in the low double digits. I’ve been hating since before Hinkle completed med school. I hated back when Pat Hard was Pat Partial. You’ll never pry my hater card from me.

□ I am a hometown fan and am accustomed to having my heart broken if I get too exited. 💔

But did they consider how good it would have felt to place 2nd instead?

Eh. Anything east coast doesn't deserve that team name. I stand by my disrespect.

I also feel confused as to why a team from NC is called Ring of Fire

They're consistent with their confusion (Raleigh Phoenix)

I think its cause Johnny cash was from around there. It does feel pretty odd tho and it took me longer than i would like to damit to wrap my head around this being an East coast team

What on earth are you talking about?

Johnny Cash is associated with the American South and Tennessee

What on earth do you think it has to do with the West Coast?

Ring of Fire is a geologic term referring to the volcanoes all around the pacific plate. Its the largest formation of volcanoes on earth and includes among others denali, mt rainier/tahoma, mt Fuji and many others. For a US team in any coastal pacific city it would make sense. No clue why an east coast team might have it, especially since I've learned that cash had nothing to do with Carolina as I had assumed.

Do you know nothing about the artist Johnny Cash? This has nothing to do with the so-called Ring of fire of volcanoes. lol. are you aware that terms can have multiple meanings?

While the song authorship is disputed they supposedly took this line from Elizabethan poetry (his ex wife alleges the phrase is a reference to female genitalia). If from Elizabethan poetry - it would be prior to the use of the term ring of fire to mean volcanoes in the pacific lol

The song was written in Nashville, Tennessee. It compares the passions of love to a ring of fire.

Y’all need to get an education. Rolling Stone labeled it the greatest country song of all time.

I know about the song and Johnny cash. I just thought it had some ties to the teams location but other commenters told me that wasn't the case. So now I'm confused cause it doesn't fit either of the meanings. No need to get condescending Edit: solved here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ultimate/s/E7QWOzg7op

The game was over the second those little boys stepped onto the field against some real hosses from Carolina.
