I'm tired of UFO researchers promising undeniable evidence and then asking everyone to wait again
Honestly, I think the UFO community would make a lot more progress if people stopped treating announcements about future evidence as if they were evidence themselves.
I'm genuinely interested in UFO cases, and I don't think every unexplained sighting should be dismissed automatically. There are cases worth investigating, witnesses worth listening to, and questions that deserve serious attention. But when someone promises groundbreaking proof and repeatedly pushes the moment of disclosure further away, I think skepticism is completely justified.
At some point, the announcement itself stops being interesting. What matters is the actual material: original footage, verifiable documents, physical evidence with a clear chain of custody, and information that independent researchers can examine without relying on someone's reputation or personal assurances.
I also think the community sometimes makes its own job harder by jumping straight from "we don't know what this is" to "it must be extraterrestrial." An unidentified object is an unanswered question, not a confirmed explanation.
If someone claims to have extraordinary evidence, they should be willing to let the evidence speak for itself. It shouldn't require endless teasers, dramatic deadlines, or appeals to authority to convince people that something important exists.
I'd rather see one piece of evidence that survives serious independent scrutiny than hear a hundred promises about what we're supposedly going to learn next month.
