I'm planning to take an Intro to Curling class this Sunday at the Saint Croix Curling Center in Lakeland/Bayport area. They offer a league over the winter that I'm thinking about joining.

I'm looking for some new friends as I work through my midlife crisis. I've recently started a 90 day separation from my wife and one of my goals is to expand my friend base.

So what do I like to do? Well first, I'm open to trying new things so don't be afraid to suggest something. I like breweries, downhill skiing, watching football, trivia, musical theater, hiking, camping, cruising & travel, movies, cycling, golf (I'm not good), cocktails, live music, comedy/improv, boardgames & cards (especially cribbage).

I currently live in southern MN, about a hour and 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, but when my lease is done next year I will be moving to the cities. Over the last two years my friend group has become rather small mainly due to realizing I was always the disposable friend and people moving away. I want to start building new friendships around the community that I will be establishing my permanent home in but I don't know where to start. I would consider myself an introverted extrovert which I am actively working to overcome and not allow the anxiety of being out of my comfort zone rule my life any more.

Things about me: I love coffee, trivia events, TV/movies and live music. I am not beer drinker but enjoy a cider or other adult beverages. Big fan and supporter of the Frost and Lynx, I also enjoy watching the occasional Timberwolves and Wild games.

As the title suggests, I recently moved to the Twin Cities (in April of this year), and I would love to make some girl friends. Nothing against guy friends, but I really want to find some platonic girl friends.

I'm 27F and moved to Minneapolis about 2 years ago, and honestly I've been having such a hard time with the dating scene here.

I've tried the apps on and off, but haven't had much luck finding guys I actually connect with. I'm pretty liberal and would really like to meet someone who shares similar values, but it feels surprisingly difficult to find single, like-minded men around my age who are actually looking for a relationship.

I feel like everyone says Minneapolis is a great city for dating and meeting people, but I'm starting to wonder where everyone is hiding lol. It also seems like so many people already have their established friend groups and social circles, which makes meeting new people organically even harder.

I'd really love to get off the apps and meet people in real life, but I'm not sure where to start.

So, where are the single, liberal men in their late 20s/early 30s hanging out? Are there certain bars, neighborhoods, activities, social groups, or events I should be checking out?

I usually just go out to the bars but it's so busy and have to get there early or else wait in line and it's hard to bar hop.

I'm 41M and I've been in the Twin Cities for a couple years. Prior to moving, I used to do trivia a few times a month and I'm interested in finding a regular group again. I enjoy the experience, but I'm also competitive by nature, so I'd like to find some similar folks. I've won playing solo a few times against teams just for the love of the game, but it's more fun with others.

This is an open invite to join me Friday, October 30th at the South St Paul Dreamers Vault to play boardgames. I will arrive around 5:30 and chat/play filler games with whoever is there. At 6:30 we will pick what longer games we'll be playing. I will grab a table near the middle left of the gaming area and you'll know me by my bald head and beard.
