Hi! I’m a trans girl who’s doing a degree to become a visual art teacher. For one of my classes, i need to do a community art project and I thought it would be cool to make it with our community.

So I made a small comic about how i had my first bikini. It’s a small autobiographical story. At the beginning i was so anxious because i had to find a swimsuit to go to a pool party and at the end i was very happy and emotional because i was feeling cute in my new bikini.

I thought it could be cool to make a community anthology of autobiographical comics representing our trans joys.

So I will need your help and contributions. If you want to participate you can share in the comments a small autobiographical comic you will make in your own style of drawing. It could be any type of drawing (digital drawing, ink drawing, pencil drawing). You can use the template i made or make your own one. The only rule is to spread our trans joy by drawing comics.

At the end of the project, on the third week of October, i will make an anthology with all our comics and share it you back.

Wanted to share the full version of this art piece inspired by my experience as a trans man 🖤 trans or cis, queer or straight, we all have the power to make ourselves and our lives whatever we want and nobody can decide your path for you!

I started T semi recently and some days it feels like the best decision I’ve ever made. I get impatient about shot day. I like what it’s done and I want it to do more. Other days I look in the mirror a feel like I’ve made an irreversible mistake and like I’ll never be happy no matter what I look like. I wish I could just escape my physical body and float about my day without being visible. It’s rough out here trying to physically transition as someone who’s gender fluctuates so much.

Ive started using injections again after being on T for a couple months (gel for the last month,) and even though I’m on such a low dose, I can’t help but feel just.. overwhelmingly happy.

I do my own shots, and I enjoy it. I actually get excited for the entire night before, so eager to get to have a tangible hand in my own creation.

I used to scar up the thighs that now take my injections, I didn’t realize I was self harming in the exact spot I would eventually be injecting. I didn’t think I’d be injecting ever, to be fair. I was stuck in my parents home, trapped and suppressed and losing my mind, if not my self.

The other day, in my new apartment, with the window open and cool air flowing in the way it never did in my room at my parents- I woke up with this old song I used to listen to by Rex orange county - “it’s not the same place anymore”.

Today, I wiped down healed, near invisible scars down with alcohol wipes, and injected hope back into the fatty part of my thigh.

It’s not the same anymore.

Creeping Embers are SO happy to be back on stage! We sold almost 100 advance tickets for this event which is crazy! We debuted our new banner which I spent several days working on (yes I did really burn it and yes does very much smell like smoke) and played a super fun show to so many cool people!

I’m also super excited to tell you all that we’re in the studio working on a few things that will be revealed in good time 👀
