Cockroach Attack

Oooooo boy!

Library officials were forced to close the Kent Branch Library Tuesday morning after a patron threw a box of cockroaches at a staff member.

According to library officials, the library, at 3101 Collingwood Blvd., was closed immediately after the altercation.

Contractors were being called in to clean up and remediate the cockroaches, library officials said. They hoped to reopen the building on Wednesday.

I have questions. Why, obviously? Alive or dead? How many were there? Are we an open carry cockroach state?

It is the season for people to be spreading all kinds of bugs around.

I live right next door to the Kent library and there's always action going on over there. Kids fighting in the parking lot, huge dance parties, the same car parking there every 20 minutes all night long, always facing directly towards my window. It's a shame I missed out on this one. I would have caught the Lord of the Roaches.

just got some details from a library insider. the patron brought in a box with their personal belonging inside. the library staff noticed cockroaches coming out of it, so they were asked to leave. the patron hit the library staff with said box and broke the library's staff eye glasses. it wasnt a cockroach attack per say just a filthy patron with a cockroach/anger problem

Well at least she can file a workers' comp claim then since she was in fact physically injured. I'm saying this only because in Ohio, you cannot successfully file a workers' comp claim solely for psychological reasons. This woman probably needs psychological counseling. I know that I would!

This would be terrible to deal with. I’m curious what the motive was…

That’s actually one of my biggest fears. Assault by pests. But I fear a cupfull of bedbugs even more than roaches.

I had bed bugs before, and for months didnt know. One of the worst experiences of my life. I have dogs that shed, and STILL, every gentle touch takes me back to being all bitten up.
