Open Searching for Midwest? Murder near where two rivers converge showcased on Investigation Discovery? around 2010-2014
I watched it back in about 2014, but I can’t remember the name of the show. The show would have been recent, so maybe 2010-2014 timeframe. It was on Investigation Discovery or one of its sister channels, because I remember watching an episode about the McCarthy, Alaska murders around the same time which appeared on Alaska: Ice Cold Killers. The episode opens with a camera over two rivers converging somewhere I believe in the Midwest, maybe Michigan/Ohio/Illinois? I think the voiceover talks about how the crime happens in the town where the two rivers meet. I can’t remember the rivers, but one could have been the Mississippi. Would have happened in the 70s-90s. The only details about the crime are that it happened behind a building which may have been a church possibly after bible study on a Wednesday? Young white female victim iirc. But also maybe there were multiple people? I can’t figure out if I’m conflating that part with the yogurt shop murders. At the end of the episode the narrator states the police seem to know who did it, but the police had no proof. That man lives in a house at the top of the town, but they do not give his name.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions. If I can confirm a movie about ninja kangaroos in an alternate universe found through a portal at a construction site exists, I’m hoping I can confirm this does, too. Thank you!
