Ooh I’m glad I don’t watch racing because my other main sports(football, WNBA, men’s and women’s college basketball) teams and favs stress me out enough when they’re playing my condolences to yall 😭

It’s making me so depressed all my faves are turning into no. 2 drivers - Oscar, Alex, George, Charles 😭 this race was just a nail in the coffin

I am a george fan (and also really like Alex)...this season has been corporate humiliation ritual after humiliation ritual. Atleast tennis losses are sporting losses there is some dignity in them this is just..

What’s killing me is that I am becoming more and more of a George fan after every heartbreak and atp I’d like to get off this ride, I didn’t sign up for this after what I went through with Oscar last year 😭

I'm not even a George fan at all, and I wanted him to keep the podium over the team I support largely because he's always getting shafted like this all the time and Ferrari DID NOT deserve a podium here one bit!

The soccer team I captain made it to the playoffs which are today! Currently getting all the snacks ready assuming we are playing two games (aka against the 3rd seed then the championship 🫡🫡) wish me luck!!! Also of course my leg started feeling weird yesterday ugh

We lost in the final UGH the other team was so much fucking faster than us UGHHHH but we still had fun and played well all things considered. Onto next season!

Well this tee arrived today so why not just wear it to Yankee stadium?
Got a men’s small, which fits perfectly for my partner as well as working as an oversized boyfriend tee for me.
The lighting in the photo was bad, but the tee’s color is actually super nice, a particular shade of maroon that’s less saturated than what the Nike website shows, which is my preference.

Reading White Nights by Dostoevsky at the moment. The writing is brilliant so far, but if I was Nastenka, a man saw me on the street, we agreed to meet up and he went on a rant about his life in third person narrative, while telling me to shut up and listen, I would probably go and block him out of my life 🤣.
The rant was deep though.

I keep looking at the pictures for the Netflix East of Eden adaption and I’m so scared it’s not gonna be good 😭
I want it to be book accurate but if they take a few liberties, it’s okay as long as it’s quality!! Just please don’t ruin this book I love very much @ Netflix </3

Asides from reading the brick of a book that is Les Miserables, I’m also reading White Nights by Dostoevsky. People told me to start with White Nights as sort of an introduction to Russian classics, and it’s honestly so good, I couldn’t put it down!

White nights is a beautiful read! I also tried to use it as a stepping stone into the more mammoth-like Dostoevsky books, but never got around to reading any of his other works. The Brothers Karamazov has been on my TBR forever and I just can never find myself committing to it

Brothers Karamazov is a HUGE ask, I fought to get through the section in the church and eventually I gave up when they finally went back to their house (which wasn’t even a third in). Maybe I’ll try it next year to see if I have more patience for it five years later 😭

Whoever is making the decisions in my uni faculty is dumb AF and should be fired with immediate effect. They cancel classes for a whole week so that we can write and prepare for semester tests. A WHOLE WEEK in which they can schedule our tests. So why in the name of our dear lord in heaven would you schedule THREE on the SATURDAY BEFORE the week off?!? Seriously

Yeah he’s Scrappy the Eagle 🥹 and I’ve seen the badger mascot before on TV so cool!!
We also have Lucky the Albino Squirrel but he only appears dressed up at homecoming games(there’s also superstition that if we run into the actual squirrel on campus that we’ll ace all our finals since he’s so rare to see)

According to the lists, they all need to be the most recent edition and I don’t think they keep the physical copies in our library. There is a digital rental option for a lot of them that I can use but some of them, I might just have to bite the bullet for 😭

oh really, that's wild. i recently found this obscure anthropological text on anna's archive (i think), I was shocked because there's barely any mention of it online and it 100% hasn't been published anywhere since the 80s. this was for hobby reasons lol. anyhow, not sure if this breaks sub rules and you're maybe aware already but you can use this site as in index for all of the mirrors of libgen, anna's, z-lib, etc: https://open-slum.org/ . Sometimes one of them will have something the others don't...
