First build feedback

Hello everyone.

Gonna be my 4th season telemarking (2-3 weeks/year) and am considering buying my first build. Here are the components:

K2 Mindbender 85 skis, 170cm;

22 Designs Vice bindings (75mm);

Alico Double boots.

I could get everything for 1k and figured was a good price/quality for my first custom build.

What are your thoughts?

Cheers, Sven.

The leather alico can for sure drive the ski but 22 vice being an undersprung binding has a a higher likelihood of peeling the sole off the boot. Better off with a side cable like a switchback

Skis and bindings are great. Get a plastic boot. Scarpa T2 would work well.

The Vice is bombproof! Best there is in 75!

Only downside, they don’t fail so you have to make new excuses to buy new tech. But look at some better boots used.

You're gonna need a more burly plastic boot with that ski and bind. Ski and bind pairing are great if that ski suits your needs

I see lots of 75mm plastic boots for sale used. Can get a new liner to freshen them up. Better option than leather for resort

All good, except the Alico double boots. Hard no on those.
Try to find a mint used Scarpa T2 Eco, great for your setup and will be much more comfortable (and lighter).

Move up to a plastic boot. Probably Scarpa. I’m also a big fan of Crispi

Mainly resort, both groomed and fresh. Nothing too crazy for my comfort as i wouldnt call myself advanced
