Is this maple?

Tele copy. The body is heavy and very dense. I’m a better guitar player than a cabinet maker or arborist. Any help appreciated.

Not maple. Looks like ash.

Edit: if that has a finish of some sort I’m almost sure it’s ash. If that’s raw wood, it could be oak. But still most likely ash.

The grain lines look too heavy to be maple. I think the person that said ash is probably right.

Swamp ash would be my guess

Looks like ash and the fact that it’s heavy backs that up. I built an ash Tele and it’s well over 9lbs.

You can tell is an aspen by the way it is. How neat is that.
