Yes, those are bolts sticking through laptop lid. I get that it's annoyng how some manufacturers design their stuff so weak, but come one, there are better ways to do this...

E-waste gaming laptop turned into a Frankenstein gaming PC

So I found this Medion Erazer Crawler E25 laptop with a broken screen, broken frame, broken hinge, 1 fan doesn't read RPM sometimes and a broken fan shroud for €50, everything else worked fine. It even came with 16gb 3200mhz RAM and a 512gb SSD (it also has a Ryzen 5 5600H and a 3050ti). I only had to make a makeshift fan shroud from a piece of paper and I had to use the HDMI port for display (disconnecting the internal screen makes the HDMI port the primary display) and boom! A fully working gaming system

Lenovo IdeaPad died after just 3 days of runtime (Caps Lock LED on boot). Peeled off the RAM shield and found this factory disaster.

Client brought in an IdeaPad (Ryzen 5000 series) that wouldn't POST—just a solid Caps Lock LED.

According to SMART data, the SSD had only ~84 hours of runtime (roughly 3.5 days). The machine was practically unused.

Performed standard diagnostics (isolated peripherals, CMOS reset, no liquid damage found), but when I peeled off the EMI tape over the soldered SK Hynix RAM, I found this crime scene. Massive glue blowout, bubbly epoxy, and spatter all over the traces and components. How did this pass factory QC?
