I will be in Tbilisi next week for a week. Where should I go to meet friendly people to just hang out? I‘ve booked a hotel in the old town so somewhere around there. I’m a SE Asian/European female in my 30s. Is it safe to go night out on my own? Thanks.

Thanks in advance x
Edit: to add, this is NOT an invitation for weirdos to DM me to ‘talk’. Jeez man.

A quick update for those who read my last post about the mini-hotel interview and asked how I'm doing. I'm doing. Barely, but doing.
I'm looking for a place to stay for 1-2 weeks. A room, a floor, a couch, anything. No hostels, please. I'm looking for something clean and safe. I can offer Russian lessons, help around the house, or just human decency in return. I'm a lawyer, I write, I have a sense of humor and no illusions left.
I have 105 lari to my name. That's not a cushion, that's a countdown. But I'm a survivor, and I'm not done yet.
If you have something, or know someone who does, DM me. If you don't, a share helps too.

How and where (in Tbilisi) do you meet new people outside work, when you are no longer a student. I want to expand social circle, based on shared interest or even based on mutual understandings and just vibe or something. Are there any platforms i could look up some hobby clubs/groups or activities available, events etc. Or even spaces i could directly go and explore (for regular attendance not as a one time visit).

Hi! I’m currently in Tbilisi and wanted to go to Didgori. Any travelers who went there where did you book your tour? It’s really hard to find joiner tour since I am traveling solo.
Wanted to get some options aside from renting a car or do a private tour.
Thanks!

I’d like to beat the autumn blues by signing up for some group classes in martial arts, self-defence, or boxing. I’m a complete beginner, so I’m looking for beginner-friendly classes taught in English. Could you recommend any places? If you know the prices, that would be really helpful too!
I’m also open to gym recommendations that offer group classes like yoga or boxing. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I’m a Georgian guy with diagnosed severe ADHD and my life is getting really fucked because of it. I’m trying to get meds as hard as I possible and wondered if getting them in Turkey and bringing it here would work.

So some end of this jacket caught fire and now it is torn open with cotton coming out. I need to fix it.
.
Does anyone know a place in tbilisi that can fix it well at affordable prices ?
.
Ps. I adore this jacket and don't wish to replace it. But it is hard to fix due to the material.

I’ve lived in Georgia for about two years, first in Batumi and now in Tbilisi. I’ve often found people’s interactions cold or rude, and I’ve had a hard time with customer service and public services. When we lived in Batumi, my husband—who speaks Russian—seemed to be treated more warmly than I was. I was pregnant at the time and already feeling depressed, so we moved to Tbilisi hoping things might feel different. But I’ve continued to feel unwelcome here.
My experience giving birth was so traumatic that I’m now afraid to go through pregnancy again. Trying to connect with other local mothers has been difficult too; some experiences have left me feeling judged or taken advantage of. And the staring is another story—it often makes me feel uncomfortable and conspicuous.
I know everyone is different, and I’m not saying every Georgian is like this. But after two years, I’m struggling to understand why so many expats choose to stay. Have other expats felt this way in Georgia, or had a very different experience? What helped you feel more at home?

Title: Buying Coach bags from the USA/UK to Georgia — customs and shipping?
Hey everyone! I live in Tbilisi and I’m not a Georgian citizen. My friend and I are planning to buy Coach bags worth around $800 or less in total, possibly from the USA or UK.
I’m confused about how delivery to Georgia works, whether we need a forwarding company, how long shipping takes, and how much customs fees would be.
Has anyone ordered Coach bags this way? I have never done this so any suggestion advice woulve be really appreciated ❤️

Hey everyone,
I’ll be visiting Tbilisi for a week from the 8th December and I am wondering if anyone knows if there will be any Christmas activities around this time?
Also where is the best place to see snow? Is it worth renting a car or is public transport / a tour the best option?
Thanks so much and I can’t wait to visit Georgia! 🇬🇪

Hey guys! I’m travelling to Tbilisi this weekend, and while I was in Berlin, I heard a lot about Bassiani and how amazing their resident nights are. I’ve never been before, so I’m looking for like minded people I could tag along with and experience it together. Let me know if anyone’s going!
A group of Georgian children (aged roughly 10–14) came into my shop. Two of them engaged me in a fake inquiry about my merchandise to draw my attention away, while another child took the opportunity to steal my iPhone 15 Pro Max, which I had left on the counter. My security camera captured the incident; although the specific spot on the counter where the phone was sitting falls into a blind spot, the footage clearly shows the child taking something from the counter and hiding it. When I went to report the theft, the police had me sign a document. The interpreter explained that the police would first register the phone as "lost" before proceeding with a search. I clarified that it wasn't lost—it was stolen—but both the police and the interpreter insisted that this is the standard procedure here. Furthermore, the police never showed up today to review the security footage. Is this normal?
In fact, a few kids would frequently drop by my shop—every few days or so—to ask about various items, yet they never ended up buying anything. Looking back, I realize now that they were actually there to shoplift; they must have made off with quite a few of my products. (Of course, that’s partly on me for being foolish and not keeping a close enough eye on my own phone! 😂) It makes me wonder: don’t these children have any parental supervision? They look like they’re still in school—carrying their backpacks and everything—so you’d never suspect them of being thieves.

Hi everyone,
We recently found three stray kittens on our street with severe eye infections. We’ve been caring for them at home, and thankfully two of them have recovered well and look healthy now. However, the third kitten really needs professional veterinary care and medical treatment.
Unfortunately, our budget is currently very tight. Most of the clinics we’ve reached out to charge around 50–60 GEL just for the initial consultation. On top of that, we don’t speak Georgian or Russian, which has made communicating with local clinics quite challenging.
Does anyone know of a rescue-friendly vet, an NGO, or a clinic in Tbilisi that might offer free checkups, discounts, or low-cost care for strays? Any recommendations or advice on who to contact would be greatly appreciated!
