Hi everyone,
I recently got a tramp stamp done, but I’ve been having a lot of second thoughts about the placement.
It sits around the transition from my lower back to my buttocks, but towards the higher part of that area, leaving quite a bit of distance between the tattoo and my upper buttocks and gluteal cleft. This bothers me because I wonder whether placing it a few cm lower would have made it look more balanced and flow better with my body’s curves.
With my usual mid-rise pants, the placement works quite well because the tattoo sits just above the waistband. However, with super low-rise pants (where my underwear kinda sits), there’s a noticeable gap between the waistband and the tattoo, making it look even higher than I imagined. I originally wanted a placement that would still be visible with everyday pants, rather than one that would only show with very low-rise bottoms or underwear. But I noticed how off it kind of looks when I don‘t wear thise specific pants. Also it’s asymmetrical to my gluteal cleft but symmetrical to my spine..
But then again you are your own worst critic which is why I am looking for your advice.
Now I keep going back and forth between thinking the placement makes sense and worrying that a lower position would have looked more flattering and connected to my upper buttocks and in general like a tramp stamp.
I’ve already posted about this in another subreddit and received comments like “butt mustache” and other insulting remarks. I’d really appreciate constructive criticism and honest opinions without people making fun of the tattoo. It’s not easy to put yourself out there on the internet and share something so personal, especially when you’re already feeling insecure about it. Thank you for being respectful.
TL;DR: Is my tramp stamp placement too high?
