Pauls security weekly is pretty good, obviously very security focused

Risky.biz has a pretty decent podcast for netsec types, but he's not putting up any until next year at this point.

+1 for Risky Business, it's one of my favourites

Check out Packet Pushers, not everything they talk about is relevant to what I do but there's some good stuff.

Also This Week in Tech is good for news but focused more towards consumer tech not enterprise.

Enjoy!

I used to listen to TechSNAP (Jupiter broadcasting), but after Alan and Chris stopped doing it, I fell off and never got on the bandwagon with the new hosts. It is (or was) primarily in the Linux/BSD side of things, with a lot of security news also thrown in.

On the microsoft side, I listen to RunAsRadio, though it is not really news.

Security Now is my favorite podcast. More technology and security related than direct sysadmin advice, but great for understanding technical foundations.

How's that new SpinRite version coming along? ;)

Steve will get right on it as soon as SQRL is wrapped up. How many years has that been "almost done"? Sigh...

I've enjoyed Sysadmin Today, with our host, Paul Joyner.

My absolute favorite is Daily Tech News Show. It features a 10-15 min recap of the daily tech highlights + a 10-15 min deeper dive into one or two relevant topics.

Been following it for a couple of months now and I feel confident I'm not missing out on anything big going on in the tech world. It's a great watercooler-conversation-topic tool too ("did you hear about ABC company announcing/doing/launching XYZ today?").

There is a shorter version by the same creators - Daily Tech Headlines, which gives you only the most important stuff in about 5 minutes each day.

They're not EXACTLY what you're looking for but I have three recommendations that are kinda close to what you're after (They're all really entertaining though).

RallySecurity - An InfoSec podcast that discusses the latest security news from breaches to new vulns etc. Really funny group of people, definitely an opportunity to learn something each week.

WAN Show - Good tech podcast however mainly focuses on latest hardware news rather than software.

KBMOD - (Keyboard + Mouse or Die) Really funny podcast that focuses around PC gaming and hardware news.

I’ll second risky.biz. I’m also a huge fan of the SANS ISC StormCast, a daily 5 minute security specific podcast.

Also check out https://malicious.life with u/ranlevi for a fascinating look at the beginnings of cyber crime.

Check the wiki - plenty of good ones listed there.

lately been more involved in devops culture I did need to ramp up on knowing what all the flashy new tools are called and do, so I like to listen to:

  • Arrested DevOps - very tech and great insights

  • Software Engineering Radio (SERadio, one of my current favs)

  • sometimes The New Stack Makers if there's an interviewee I want to listen to

to piggyback on previous posts, Paul's Security weekly is awesome, as awesome as hello from the magic tavern but with more IT Sec and booze.

virtuallySpeaking podcast ran by two guys who work at VMware.

Geek Whispers - just finished on its 140 episode, however theres a tresure trove in there of content to go back through and thats what I am doing now.

Lol, I feel like if I did one of those it would just be a ton of ranting about stupid clients
