Okan has no freekick goal against Denizli. And he also never managed Serie A.

While as a GS fan it is nice to have a consistent manager (who also has his flaws) have the patience required - its also a sad reality for Turkish football in general that other clubs/fans dont have the same level of patience. We need to alter football culture in this country to push it forward. Make it more competitive and exciting. Lots of work to be done unfortunately.

Do we have patience? We became champions 4 times in a row, let's see what happens if we miss out twice. If we stay with Okan then, then I'll say we're patient.

Staying with a coach that brought succes isn't patience, imho

Miss out twice? People were calling for his head even on the night of our 4th consecutive championship celebration.

For all of his many, many, many flaws I respect Dursun for not giving in to online pressure and sticking with Okan

One big reason why we are so successful is because they do not evolve. I have big hopes for Ahmedspor.

Saran wanted Kocaman, Aziz wanted Kocaman, can someone have the balls and finally fucking bring him in, man was years ahead of Turkish football and got scapegoated for every mistake Aziz Yıldırım did, if somebody's going to fix this mess that's Fenerbahçe it is him.

okay but why may i ask? I feel like i am taking crazy pills whenever i see discussion about Aykut Kocaman, and the popular opinion is him being bad..?

12/13 also has Turkish cup and UEL semis.

17/18 Lost the league by 3 points and Fenerbahçe scored the most goals, Ali Koç instead of building on this, decided to sack him, and rebuild, which he almost relegated the team next season.

So again, why?

Sezon Lig sırası Maç G-B-M Puan Puan ort. Şampiyon (puan)
2010–11 1. (Şampiyon) 34 26-4-4 82 2.41 Fenerbahçe
2011–12 2. 34 + 6 play-off 24-9-7 68 + 13 2.03 Galatasaray
2012–13 2. 34 18-7-9 61 1.79 Galatasaray (71)
2017–18 2. 34 21-9-4 72 2.12 Galatasaray (75)

You are referring to ten years ago. Football has changed - a lot. Aykut Kocaman has got older. His football was outdated around that time, too. Now it's fair to say it's (probably) completely obsolete. To be fair, there are so few 60+ managers who can keep their game up to date. On top of that, he hasn't managed a team in the last few years, so he is rusty on top of rusty.

Please go check manager ages in top leagues; the oldest in the EPL is Moyes (63), followed by Emery (54). In Serie A, Spalletti, Gasperini, and Sarri are the only managers aged 60+. And Kocaman isn't Gasperini.

Of course, but this is assuming Aykut has not stayed up to date with football, and i think the elvel of coaching in turkish league is not really high, and we see his visionn of football is in a way worldwide now.

Everyone had a chance, so i think one of the most successful fener coaches also deserves a run, i can get being against him though what i don't get is how its popular to shit on him or think he is actually a bad coach.
