Nostalgia This sub loves piling on the Lakers, but why is no one talking about the Suns being 1-3?
I didn’t realize until now that the Suns are currently 1-3. why is no-one talking about this?
They beat a mediocre Kings team a couple days ago and nearly lost by 30 pts to the Clippers with an old ass Kawhi Leonard. And from what I know they’re just about fully healthy.
For anyone actively watching the Suns this season, what’s the main reason for the early season struggles? You would think they’d have a bunch of momentum to start the season after their blistering preseason run.

Nostalgia Remember 2024's Opening Day Lineup?
I got triggered with some mild PTSD after stumbling on this old photo today. So many experiments gone wrong, including Budenholzer.
Compare that to what they've got going on today (Book, Jalen, Dillon, Bridges, Oso/Khaman, and Ott), and you can see a team that's trending up in practically every role, and with much higher-potential talent.
Future is looking pretty damn good. Past, not so much.

Nostalgia We were here for Dragan Bender. We were here for Marquese Chriss. We were here for Eric Bledsoe. We were here for Brandon Knight. We were here for Josh Jackson. We were here for Mike James. We were here for the Morris twins. We were here for Earl Watson.
Now we are here for Book, Paul, Ayton, Bridges and Payne.
Suns fans deserve this.
Breath it in. We aren't done yet.

Nostalgia When you wife forces you to clean out the attic
So I just found my old albums. They probably haven’t been opened in 25-30 years. First page had me grinning like the 10 year old I was, putting these in this binder.

Nostalgia Reddit is retiring their awards feature. I’ll give some out! Who is your favorite all-time Phoenix Suns player?
Doesn’t need to be Ring of Honor worthy or anything; just tell me your personal favorite all-time player from the Suns. I’ll give awards for comments until I run out of credit. I have around 10k coins that would otherwise go to waste.
For me: Cedric Ceballos and Mikal Bridges. But shoutout to Richard Dumas who had a ton of potential.

Edit: Ran out of coins for awards but tried to catch everyone in the order the comments were submitted. Cheers to the Suns (old and new)!

Nostalgia Shawn "The Matrix" Marion
Hey Suns fans, Mavs fan here, coming in peace.
I had a question for some of the older fans who remember Shawn “The Matrix” Marion during his prime in Phoenix. One thing that will always connect our franchises is that Shawn played a major role for both teams, including being part of our 2011 title run in Dallas. I have been rewatching the 2011 playoffs and there is no way in Hell that title was won without Shawn's defense, specifically what he did to neutralize Lebron in the Finals.
I was a bit young during his peak Suns years, but I remember how integral he was to the Seven Seconds or Less teams and how unique his impact was, not just scoring, but rebounding, defense, versatility, and all the little things (he was also a fantasy basketball monster for that reason).
I also vaguely remember that things may have ended a little awkwardly between Shawn and the Suns at the time, though I could be misremembering. I see him at Mavs games fairly often now as a guest of Mark Cuban, and he’s very much embraced by the Mavs organization.
So I was curious:
Does Shawn still come around Suns games or team events?
And does the Suns franchise embrace him the way the Mavs do now?
Ultimately, his prime was with Phoenix, not Dallas, and I hope he’s celebrated accordingly. Appreciate any insight from those who lived that era more closely.
