Trade Rumors Trade Discussion
As currently constructed if healthy we are definitely a top 6 seed in the West. Seeing Brooks and Gillespie taking a step offensively makes Green expendable. Would a Green, Royce, Richards package for AD take our team to the next level defensively? If AD is healthy it gives the Suns a 25/12 scorer and defensive beast to pair with Brooks. Or do we wait it out and see what it looks like with Green and Book out there together?
Gillespie / Book / Brooks / AD / Williams

Would like the organization to not waste Bookers prime years…. lol.

Getting AD doesn’t “help” Booker in his prime. If anything you make the same mistake you just made. Also why is everyone so quick to get rid of green when we are seeing how great a coach Jordan Ott is? Wouldn’t you rather let Ott develop green alongside Booker? He’s only 23.

We are already ahead of schedule. At worst we "waste" this season and next. Still 2-3 years of prime book.

Haha just tryna see what my fellow suns fans think about this year and if we should make a move…. Why is that bad considering Book is in the prime of his career?

Why would giving up what few assets we have for an aging injury prone (Day to Davis) player be a bad thing?
No clue.

Stop. We don’t want AD.
What are we trying to prove this year? Nothing. Let’s stop the sale of quality assets for quick ‘wins’

I want to see what Green offers this team on a consistent basis first. I'm mixed on Grayson. Sure he had that historic performance earlier in the year, but I feel like he does not perform very well against top teams

he is being asked to do alot. he's pg, pf, sf, sg all wrapped in one. He needs, like Book, to play off ball, thats where he is dangerous.

Hey why don't we try and trade Richards, Green, Royce & Brooks + picks for KD?? /S

I’m getting tired of these reckless trade ideas. It shows there are still fans who learned absolutely NOTHING from the kd and Beal experience we just went through.

I saw green 'expendable' and automatically said 'no'. didnt even read the rest.

Same.
If anything hes the least expendable player on the team in the current situation this franchise is in.

The problem with trading for injury prone players is that they don't play, so why would you trade for someone who doesn't play, simple as that

In my opinion, only expendable in the team is big Nick. Would hate to see Royce go but if need be we can package him. But for draft capital or youth. No more “big trades”. Our team is good and we haven’t even seen it in full health.

i’m sorry but what the fuck are you talking about. AD? the guy who hasn’t stayed healthy for years? trading assets for a past-his-prime, injured “star.” doesn’t that sound familiar? let’s learn from the past and not continue to make the same mistakes. good lord man

u/KrloYen Dec 12 '25
Fuck no. Green has only played one game and you already want to get rid of him? He scored 29 points in 23 minutes in his debut.
Green has played as many games in 4 years as Davis did in 6.

Green is less expendable than Booker is
He is a 23 year old 20ppg+ scorer in a team that is retooling/rebuilding. He should be the least expendable player on this team. Him along with Williams, Dunn and Maluach.
Any trades we should be making are to asset collect from trading Royce, Allen or Richards. Or going all in on rebuilding by trading them and Booker.
We shouldn't be trading any of the young "good" players we have in the position the franchise is currently in.

I get how it’s intriguing. We’d essentially have 5 starting caliber players playing their own positions. Book/Grayson/Brooks/AD/Williams is incredibly stout defensively and has some incredible firepower on offense.
I just don’t see AD fitting in though. Injuries have taken a lot of his speed and he’s more a half court offense type player. We may run the least offense out of half court in the entire league.
If we wanna talk trades I honestly believe Kuminga fits this team like a glove but it would take the Warriors taking a “I guess that’s all we can get” deal of Richards/ Royce and our second round pick
Edit: Just adding. We don’t play for three more days, I don’t get people downvoting a post that’s one of like 2 new posts all day. It’s talking suns basketball. Why are downvoting? It’s ok to not like the trade but it’s not like OP is trolling or anything?

AD is never healthy. No
