I think Subway has gotten too pricey. Wouldnāt even accept the coupons.

I used to not really care too much for subway because I never found the food to be good despite me making it, obviously. But today I wanted to try something new.
I got Italian Herbs and cheese bread with provolone cheese and bacon, chicken teriyaki, and toasted. Then add a light amount of spinach and a light amount of green bell pepper, a regular amount of cucumbers, onions, and mayo.
I found that this is honestly so delicious, surprisingly. It gives a decently sweet but flavorful bite from the cucumbers and chicken, and the mayo plus onions are great along with it. Just wanted to share :)

Wtf is this.
Honestly $12 for this, we are truly doomed if this is the standard.

As the title suggests, Iām wondering if anyone has the BOGO offer in their app? I know it was supposed to go live today through like November 7th or 8th, but it isnāt showing up in mine at all. I even see the promotion at the top of the page but no offer in my āAvailable Rewards.ā Am I alone here?

I legit started working ages ago. Every month so far someone will ask me what size I'll need for the shirt and so far I still have not received an apron or a shirt. I was given a poorly cut half bandanna, but was super thankful to one of the guys I work with to give me his spare full one.
Obviously me posting this isn't going to get anything done but I need to complain a little to strangers on the internet.

I'm a subway employee, mostly a team made up of teens at my location, and im in a group chat with everyone I work with (we are understaffed and need more say shift. I am one of 3 people that can work day shift. Their are 4 night shift people and 3 people that can close and only 2 people that can open).
And the other teens I work with dont take stuff seriously. I usually work 11am-4pm or later then that.
But because the girls I work with, other teens, they dick around and mess around so when its a football game night they get nothing done.
Well, I left tonight at 5:30 (I got asked to stay a little longer so I did. But I left because it had been slow for an hour and a half). But guess what. It is currently 9:19pm and they are 'busy' apparently (the last few times they have asked for help in the group chat and said they were busy but the productivity was only at a 7). And I dont even feel sorry.
I just muted the group chat for the rest of today when the 2 teen girls started asking for help in the group chat because they always lie about how busy we are just so they don't have to do stuff. Like omg, they make me go gray.
I even asked them if they wanted me to do anything else before I left today and they said no, (I washed all the dishes and helped clean up).
So its currently 9:23 pm now, and my subway has no bread, no nothing because everyone after the football game went to the subway there. And I don't even feel bad because ive been the one going in early and helping my manager with stuff (a 50 footlong carting order. 2 of them actually, one was on Friday and the other was on Saturday) and im tired, I have a migraine.
So I call it karma. And today was my last day of work till friday. So sorry! This is what happens when you goof off and dont do stuff early.
Do subway live chat/phone agents exist? Today, I ordered on the app and got the same sub I always do, but today the bread was wrong, sauces were wrong, and it wasn't double meat which I paid for. I get Subway multiple times a month and this is the first issue I've had in a long time. Is there anything I can do besides complain to their useless AI chatbot? I'm just looking for a refund on the sub only, or even a coupon lol. Just anything at all besides this lousy effort of a sandwich I received tbh.

For goodness sakes can someone please create a sub stripper (like a wire stripper) but for subs so I don't have to tear around the part I want to eat :)
Thanks for considering.

Hi all,
Just made an account on the app for the first time. Proceeded to try to order but it put me in the US. Can't switch to anything other than the US/its dependencies. I looked through some other posts and the workaround of sign in as guest -> add to cart -> login doesn't work for me. Can anyone advise? Thanks!

The recent shrinkflation of the Subway personal pizzas is making me so sad. These used to be my favorite lunch that I would crave non-stop and have to get a few times a month at least. Now they have shrunk the diameter AND the thickness of the crust. What used to be a fluffy, delicious pizza is now a dense slab of disappointment. Looks like Iām moving on to find a new favorite to look forward to else where. Bummer.

Hey ya,
I have joined subway just few months back. I'm entirely new to working in any of the restaurant chain. I'm a full time student, and do part time at the subway just over weekends.
Everyone are great at my workplace. My manager is quite straight forward and blunt. But, my assistant manager, head team lead and most of the team leads are good, except one team lead.
I feel he keeps picking me to work, over and over, even though there are others.
What really happend was, I was in the store from 9 to 5 PM. We usually close(clean and wipe) the upstairs seating area at 5-5: 30 PM.
But, I don't know what, my team lead asked me to close it at 4 30, before I leave. And, there are 2 people who are already on the shift other than me, and there is one coming at 5PM.
It was not even busy, there were no customers, we were just restocking the vegetables. Nothing else. Still, she particularly wants me to do it.
Just before this day, for two consecutive days, my shift was from 5 to 10 PM. I closed upstairs without anyone saying me, as I came at 5 PM.
I don't understand why am I being asked to close when I am coming at 5PM and also when I'm leaving at 5 PM ?
I did the dishes, restocked drinks, made subs, prepped veggies and meat from the whole day.
Still THIS ?
I told her I'm not gonna do it. And, left at 5 PM.
She called my manager and complained. He told me I'm simply supposed to follow the team leaders command.. No Arguments, nothing. If at all something like this is gonna happen again, he said he's fire me.
I was mum. I didn't know what to say when someone in authority says I can't question a damn thing and just follow their commands.
I'm so new to this. Can someone say if this is normal?
Have you faced something similar?
Did I do something wrong? Anything I could've done better?
Any advice is really appreciated.
Regarding my background, I'm all good now. This is an extra money for me to spend on little snacks and good food and some of it towards my student debt. I'm not completely dependent on subway salary.
What do you think I should do? Is this behaviour normal? Should I speak up in the future. Or should I just swallow my pride?

Iāve worked at subway for around 2 and a half months. I was hired on the spot, and there are a few iffy things Iāve seen.
My first point is if itās normal to close completely by yourself. Iām 17 years old, and Iāll work closing shifts after school as well as a 3-close by myself. Itās extremely stressful to work the seven hours by myself, as I go through dinner rushes all by myself. And there was a few sketchy things going on at night, like my coworker was closing by herself (also 17) and some guy came to the locked door and started banging on it screaming to be let in. I donāt feel safe closing by myself, and there arenāt any other shops open around my location.
Second, my manager is almost asking for unpaid labor?? She wonāt say it, but sheāll say we need to get out at 10:30, which is almost impossible when I close by myself. And if I do clock out at 10:30, stuff is never done. On that same subject, my manager is ALWAYS nitpicking us. Every morning itās another text on how we did someone wrong, or something we didnāt do. Iām getting write up threats everyday. Multiple times as well, sheāll say āoh the lobby wasnāt done!ā When I wiped, swept, and mopped the lobby. Or that I didnāt pour teas, when i literally poured teas. Sheāll check the cameras and say āwell I saw you didnāt do thisā when i did???
Anyway, Iāve been debating of putting my two weeks in because Iām always scared that Iām gonna get written up every morning, as well as something bad happening at night. Is this valid????
Quick edit: I forgot to mention, my boss ONLY puts us teenage girls to close, and my managers refuse to close themselves (even if us three closers are busy with school) We have two adult men working, and they never close. We also are understaffed, and my boss for a while wouldnāt let my manager hire anyone, which leaves the closers to work almost every night. This is my first job, so idk if Iām being dramatic or not. Thanks š„¹

As a subway worker myself Ive got a question for the customers and other workers as well as the reasoning behind the fact that subways are telling customers to put sauces on first
Q: in yalls opinion, is it better to have sauces on first or after the veggies, and do yalls know why some customers get like legitimately belligerent and some of them even start cussing the employees out for the sauces going on first(asking from past customer experiences)
And the reasoning behind the change, because many customers were complaining about their sandwiches being messy or their sauces and veggies falling off subway had changed it so that the veggies and sauces didn't fall off the sandwich when it was folded and wrapped and so that it didn't get as messy, ofc it usually depends on the franchisee and the employees working at the time whether or not sauces are required on first

On October 24/25 from that 1 hour and 30 minutesā¦. I was by self at night at a kiosk .i was the only worker⦠a convert of over thousands of people of teenagers just endedā¦. It started small, I was ok I like a challenge of 6 or more customer waiting at line thatās my usual, but this was kiosk with no limit⦠online orders and door dash and uberā¦
After 7 ā¦15zz 20⦠I started to call my manager and any and all subway manager and worker any and tell them to call the main manager and all ⦠I need help, Iām drowning .. Iām ok if itās not a kiosk thatās even better since anyone well know that itās gonna take forever for there order to be ranged up and I can relax unless there online orders.
I was gonna be a manager a few weeks laterā¦
A concert just ended with over 3000 or more people⦠they finished and were headed towards subway..
I started to just cancel order with people and void there order⦠I couldnāt .. I just told them it was gonna take forever an hour or more.. after a few left I just started doing a few sandwiches for the orders that havenāt come. I wanted to break down but ⦠realistically I smiled , I was furious with the sheer will to head straight into this battle. Iāll do my best with the remaining customers.. oh wait⦠I reached my max 8 hours .. the uber I requested to be sent home after locking out at 12 midnight is waiting.. the next worker thatās suppose to come is 8 minutes late⦠ahhhhh ā¦
Too think I would be made a manager, to think I could do my best because I was the most flexible with my hours.. to think that I could do everything ā¦. Iāll probably get fired⦠mhmm I think Iām ok with that. I did my best ⦠I called early for help⦠I did as many orders as I couldā¦. I did as many as I could.. I was low on prep ⦠I was alone and couldnāt watch out what was being stolen and what wasnāt⦠24 hour open⦠I called early that day 9 hours a head if I can clock in to help the workers because it was a lot of lunch rushes.. there were a lot of customer that day⦠that should of been a sign.. oh right.. so many workers quitā¦
Honestly I can go again. If Iām not by myself. If thereās no kiosk⦠if we had workers to head straight into this rushed of endless customersā¦. I got 20 dollars tips..
I felt embarrassed I felt humiliated most of the customers were teenagers⦠laughing at me, seeing my down⦠oh right.. did you know if in the 30 minutes the order hasnāt been touch it adamantly show itās self as being already done . Some customer even had the the nerves to tell me to do there owner first while the rest wait⦠oh right.. Iāve only work at a subway kiosk for 3 days and I donāt know much of the system other than to just ring it up. So I couldnāt even check what it had ā¦
I want to sleep .. to take a rest.. but I have work in the morning in a few hours. So I better restā¦
Mhmmm maybe I can work at the oil rigs⦠or something more manageable
Oh btw.. it wasnāt after the worker who showed up late did everything died down⦠lucky him⦠š

Italian herbs & cheese, marinara, grilled chicken, pepperoni, provolone. Toasted, lettuce, salt/pepper, garlic aioli. Delicious

I really like the rotisserie chicken in subway and prefer it over grilled chicken. So I used to order tje nacho cheese chicken sub but they took it away. Rotisserie is only available as chicken and bacon ranch and I don't eat bacon and not able to take bacon out in app. There is no option to make your own sub too.
Edit: Thank you guys for telling me about the honey mustard. I dont like honey mustard so never opened it to check the type of chicken it has. But I can always customize so its fine.

Hello! This is my first ever post to Reddit as Iām usually just a viewer, but I honestly need opinions on this and if I should try to take some kind of action against it. Iām adding a little backstory so this makes some more sense, sorry if itās a bit messy!
This Saturday I was scheduled 11-7, my usual hours, and I have no issues with that, but I come in early, which has never been an issue with my manager in the past. She lets me clock in an hour or two early, then I usually get to clock out a bit earlier as well, which Iām grateful for! But I was scheduled with the assistant manager today, and everything went smoothly and was like any other shift Iāve had. Iāve only been working at Subway since the beginning of September; itās also my first ever job, so Iām not well versed in all of this just yet. Around 12-1 p.m. I went to the bathroom as I discovered that I had started my period, which isnāt ideal because I struggle with intense cramps that can cause me to be slower than I normally would be. My assistant manager was very understanding and reassured me that I was doing the best I could.
Around 1:30-2:00 we had a rush and had another worker that came in. I excused myself to the bathroom, which nobody seemed to have an issue with. My pain was worse, and I was beginning to get light-headed, but I tried to push through. My assistant manager left at 2:30, leaving me with my other coworker by ourselves. I usually am on top of prep and such things, but I will admit I was slower than usual, but I still did the dishes and all of that. My coworker was up front helping people as it was around 4:00 at this point. I didnāt want to go announce to her in front of customers that Iād be going to the bathroom again, so I just excused myself to it. For ref, my location is attached to a Dunkin and a gas station, so I went to the gas station and used the bathroom. I was gone for at most 10 minutes.
Around 4:30 I texted my manager asking if I could leave around 5 or 6 as I did come in early that day. Iāve done this multiple times before with no issues. She texted back in a way that was unusual for her: āYou were scheduled 11-7. That is the shift you are supposed to work. Your team needs you to do your duties.ā Now that is reasonable. I had no issues with it other than the pain I was in that I had explained to her in my message beforehand.
I helped my coworker after seeing that message, just deciding to push through the few hours I had left. After I had helped with the small rush we had, I went into the back and sat down for at most 5 minutes due to me being lightheaded. No phone in hand or anything, just sitting there for a moment. That is until my manager walks in, which is normal as she drops by time to time during certain shifts. But she had this look on her face as if she ācaught me in the act,ā which was very strange. I felt like my mom had caught me doing something I wasnāt supposed to do, but I brushed it off and went back out to help my coworker. I see the manager go over to the gas station side, which I didnāt think anything of until I watched her come back with papers in hand, which threw me off as I had a feeling I was going to be in trouble for something.
I went into the back to do the prep as I had it sat out earlier, but she stops me and tells me she has papers for me to sign. I immediately knew that I was written up. For what? You may be asking. Well, for three different days, including this Saturday and past shifts.
The first write-up was her claiming that I left an hour earlier than scheduled on a past shift, in which I promptly told her that she was mistaken and I was scheduled 10-4 not 10-5 that day. Her response was the most condescending tone I think Iāve ever experienced, talking to me like a toddler that didnāt know anything. I told her āit was on the schedule that I was 10-4ā. Her response being āno you were 10-5, it was never 10-4 youāre wrongā. Luckily I had that schedule saved on my phone and I showed her. Well, she took that off of the write-up then proceeded to tell me that on that shift I still didnāt complete my work (finishing all of the dishes and prep) and told me that I left everything a mess. There were two other people on at the time and I wasnāt going to stay over my scheduled time as I get picked up from work and canāt just stay.
The second write-up, it was for me calling off of a day that I didnāt have a ride, and it was also hours that I had told her that I wouldnāt be able to do. Her reasoning for this was that I called off over something not reasonable and that I didnāt find coverageā¦none of us have ever had to find our own coverage any time we have called off. Nobody knew that we had to do that, so that was another surprise to me.
The third write-up, for this shift that Iāve spent rambling about, I was written up for apparently not doing ANYTHING at all. She told me that I didnāt prep nor help, which is completely incorrect. Yes, I sat down a few times during my shift, but I still tried to pull my weight as much as possible. This is my only shift where I didnāt do everything before others could, but I still washed dishes, prepped veggies and sauces along with serving customers. Now, if it were only that, I might not be as bothered as I am, but it isnāt just that. She claimed that someone (the manager of the Dunkin that canāt mind her own business, most likely) told her that I kept ādisappearingā all day. She claimed that I went into the walk-in too much, and that I was also being written up for HIDING in the bathroom. I went to the bathroom three times that entire shift, and the longest I was in there was 10 minutes, I was also wrote up for clocking in early which has never been an issue in the past and she even encouraged it. It was bad enough hearing all of this. BUT it gets worse. She did all of this in front of her FATHER that she hired after me and is magically the shift lead (I only work one day a week now because she gave him all of my hours). And she also did it in front of the Dunkin manager, out in the open.
I know a lot of people will have their opinions on how they wouldāve handled this, but Iām a very shy and self-conscious person. I was embarrassed enough after all of this, and having grown adults witness it, Iām not outspoken and I have this tendency to let people walk over me. I hate that, but I hate confrontation. After all of this, I thought it was over. I was embarrassed and on the verge of tears from the embarrassment and anger I was feeling as my other coworkers tell me Iām always hard working. But to put the cherry on top of everything, after her ātalkā with me, she decided to tell me, while in front of these people, that all women have, in her words, ālady problemsā and that I canāt act like Iām the only woman in the world with them and that that basically itās not āthat badā.
She then told me that her father would be my coverage if I still wanted to leave early, and I accepted that because she had single-handedly made me completely hate my job today. Iāve had bad days of course, but I was also told that if I were to be written up one more time, Iāll be fired.
I have a few questions on this whole situation:
Why would she wait to give me three write-ups from different shifts all at once and not inform me about them when it happened? I feel like if I knew most of these things, I couldāve prevented at least one.
Is there anything I can actually do about this? I donāt know everything, but I donāt think she shouldāve done it all with an audience, along with one of my write-ups being about me going to the bathroom. Is that allowed? I could understand if I was going over and over very frequently, but three times on around a 6-hour shift with the issue I was having doesnāt seem excessive to me.
And finally, should I just start applying to other jobs? Iāve asked people about this, and they have told me it sounds like sheās just trying to fire me quickly and that thereās no reason to deal with this, but Iād appreciate more opinions on this.
So sorry for this long rant, but it honestly ruined my day, and Iām at a loss. This is my very first job, and I donāt know what to do.
