I would like to learn more about some African cultures, especially Somali people and other African immigrants to the United States.

I live in Minnesota, where there are a lot of African immigrants. It's really interesting to see the differences and similarities in our cultures and I feel like it would be cool to go more in-depth in learning about the history and complexities in cultures that I'm not familiar with.

Of course I can always try to make friends with the African people in my community- but it's easier to make friends when I already have a frame of reference to draw from.

I'm open to places other than Reddit.

Please no bigoted/hateful subs. I'm not interested in bigotry.

Thanks!!

This sub as great potential!

Is anyone interested?

33,000 truth-seekers decoding Donald Trump for 8 years!

r/trumptweets is a subreddit dedicated to dissecting and discussing the erratic and often controversial social media posts of former President Donald Trump, specifically those from his platform Truth Social. Designed as a space where users can engage with Trump's posts without directly supporting his platform, the subreddit offers a curated look into his unfiltered thoughts and statements. It serves as a community hub for those curious about Trump's ongoing presence in social media and politics, providing a critical lens through which to analyze his rhetoric and its implications. The sub is ran with a light mod touch and as long as users engage civilly, the mods are hands off. This is an unusual approach when it comes to political subs, and it's something that the mod team prides themselves on. We want discussions to happen with no biased modding or schenanigans.

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, r/trumptweets becomes increasingly significant. Trump remains a polarizing figure in American politics, with his social media presence wielding considerable influence over public opinion and political discourse. The subreddit plays a crucial role in monitoring and discussing Trump's communications, offering insights into his strategies, messaging, and potential policy directions. This transparency is vital for voters and analysts alike, allowing for informed discussions on Trump's positions and their implications for national and international affairs.

Hi! I’m looking for good subreddits to join for travel stuff and chronic illnesses! Let me know if you know of any!

Hello, Im looking for a sub that can support investigation in people concerned with a specific case that involves satellite imagery to help solve a problem from a specific location in time of the incident.

I was wondering which subreddit might be best for asking about muscle pain and what might be causing it (not specific medical advice, just asking about other people's experiences).

I specifically want an english translation of a 28minute play and r/translators do not like these request

I need to try making some animations for a project, and I've been thinking about using the models of Hercules, his sword, the Hydra, Pegasus, the Genie, the lamp, the Genie's blue particle effects, and Hades' black particle effects from the Kingdom Hearts games. Does anyone know of a subreddit or even a Twitter account or something similar where I can easily find these full game models decompiled for animation in Blender? I'm a newbie, so at least animating them would be nice.

Are there any good subreddits for posting horror stories OTHER THAN r/nosleep? and all the other ones that come up when you first search

I’ve been creating short videos using Seedance 2.5, and it handles character details and facial expressions really well. That said, it’s still not where I want it to be. I’m continuing to refine every detail to hit my target quality.

Right now I’m learning to build large-scale and multi-character scenes. Does anyone have advice on how I should set camera angles, shot breakdowns and scene layout to make everything look polished?

I've scanned r/needamod but that's mostly subs asking for mods, not wannabe-mods.

Where can I find users with common sense that want to moderate?

To be honest it just showed up on my home screen on yt and I'm not sure if the owner of the channel is just making stuff up, but where could I post it to find some internet detectives?

I just posted a situation on Am I the asshole and it was taken down because I mentioned that I had an abuser. Someone reported it and it was taken down for violence. Is there anywhere else I could post my issue? It doesn’t even have to do with him I barely mentioned it.

I’m trying to get involved in Reddit communities, but almost everywhere I’ve tried posting has account restrictions.
Are there any active, beginner-friendly subreddits where new users can participate without running into these restrictions? Also have a 6 year account and still can’t post on most subreddits

hey alllllll, i think i fucked up a charging port on my laptop bc of exposed wired + static combo but idk the best subreddit to go to for that. any recommendations are appreciated!
