Something I've been thinking about lately.

Most meme coins start with a community, a mascot, and a token.

But what about projects that already have a physical product people can buy?

An energy drink, clothing brand, or something completely unrelated to crypto.

Would that make you take the project more seriously?

Or does having a legitimate business tell you absolutely nothing about whether the token itself is worth anything?

I'm leaning toward judging them separately. Curious what everyone else thinks.

I know I can use SOL to borrow stablecoins without selling my tokens. Can I do the same with tokenized stocks?

I checked Jupiter Lend on Solana to see if it supports tokenized stocks. But I'm still figuring out whether their LTV or borrow APY makes it worth borrowing against these assets.

Has anyone tried borrowing against tokenized stocks on Solana? How much were you able to borrow compared with using SOL as collateral?

Curious how many people here are still running actual trading bots on public or heavily shared RPC endpoints.

For normal stuff that’s obviously fine, but once you’re doing anything latency-sensitive it gets a bit sketchy.

You can have a bot that technically works perfectly, but then you start seeing things like:

• random 429s
• WebSocket updates coming in late
• reconnects
• missed or duplicate events
• transaction sends getting delayed when things get busy

And then it becomes hard to tell whether the bot itself is the problem or whether the infrastructure underneath it is just inconsistent.

I’ve seen this a few times now where people keep changing strategy logic while the real issue is further down the stack.

For those of you running bots in production: are you still using shared RPC, or did you eventually move to something private/dedicated?

And if you switched, what was the thing that finally made you do it?

Pump's GitHub numbers are very good. 566 merged PRs in the week of October 13 last year. Fast forward to October 12 this year and that number hit 3,260 across their GitHub org. The 4 week average has been climbing hard since August too. Then you look at what Pump shipped this past week. Pump Bridge, EVM limit orders and support for several new chains. For a platform that started on Solana with memecoin launches, the amount they're building now is impressive. PR counts alone don't tell you how big each update is, but the development activity is hard to ignore. Curious what Pump has planned for the Solana side next.

Hey everyone!

I'm a complete beginner in crypto, just downloaded the Phantom wallet and still learning the basics.

I have around $5 sitting in my Phantom wallet on the Solana network. I know it's a tiny amount and I'm not expecting to get rich off it.

A few questions:

1. What's the best coin/token to swap this $5 into on Solana? (SOL, JUP, BONK, or something else?)
   
2. Should I just hold something long-term, or is it worth trying small trades (buy low, sell a bit higher)?
   
3. Will the swap fees on Phantom eat up most of my $5 if I trade?
   
4. Any common beginner mistakes I should avoid?
   

I'm doing this purely to learn how wallets, swaps, and basic trading work. Even a simple "just hold SOL and forget about it" is totally fine as advice!
