So I got into Dirt Rally 2.0 and I’m looking for tips to improve (throttle use, breaking, shifting etc…) and I’m on controller sadly.

When you connect, disconnect or rearrange usb devices, rbr won't like it and will reset its controls, making it so you can't have different profiles or easily switch your simracing gear.

I decided to make an app for that.

could someone explain when to use which braking technique:
This is my understanding:
1. Left foot braking (with throttle at the same time) is used for fwd cars to transfer the weight to the front tires. In combination with a flick you can bring fwd cars into a slide.

1. Scandinavian flick and lift-off oversteer can be used for FWD, RWD, AWD to get into the drift.

2. Usually for tight hairpins.

I am unsure when to decide to use the handbrake or scandi-flick or left foot braking with throttle, especially with FWD cars.

And left foot braking with throttle only applies to FWD?

I'd like to try a new rally game. The last one I played was I think Dirt 1 many years ago. The dirt tracks in Forza Horizon made me want to get a dedicated dirt/rally game that is more focused. I'm looking for fun factor most of all. I don't like configuring car setups like ride height and spring rates, that's way too sim for me. I don't need a great career mode but some progression is desirable.

Thanks to anyone that takes the time to reply. I could have just asked AI but I prefer some advice from human enthusiasts.

[SOLVED]I can't launch the game.

Hi, sorry for ranting here about that, but I'm totally sick of this crap. I was racing in eRally Croatia on rsf, I was even racing pretty well, but at the last, idk, 4 km my quest 2 had the brilliant idea to fucking freeze.

It already happened before, and I had a shittons of tickets with crappy meta support which resulted in almost nothing apart from "try reinstalling", "try using our fucking giga expensive 100€ cable which can't even keep the headset in charge while you play" and other bilullshits, so I'm here asking for help to finally sort that issue out.

I got this problem only with RSFRBR because it's the only sim that if the headset disconnects, it doesn't connect back, but instead shows a black screen and well, "see ya in super rally or dnf pal!"

So, my setup is a quest 2 connected via meta link with a powered cable (don't tell anything like "it could be the cable" because it's not, it works very well and gives planty of bandwith) with the only tweak in oculus debug tool beign vertical fov cropped to 0.4 (rbr works even in 1.0, but I'm used to the cropped vertical fov). The pc has a 4070 ti super and a 5800x3d, plenty enough I guess. The headset is connected directly to the motherboard, using the fastest usb port available.

Any help in sorting that shit out is very much appreciated, thanks guys and sorry for the giga rant '^-^

As the title states, is anyone working on a VR mod? Seems like these are popping up everywhere.

It’s out of my wheelhouse.

Basically the title, I have a reasonable but vague idea of what most things are - I could describe a diff in plain terms - but translating that into usable setups is still very much lost on me, other than the very basics. So, how did you go from "higher car cause rocks" to actually developing setups? Any resource is appreciated.
