Im trying to connect with other hikers in the area. I normally go out solo but its only because all the people I have met here do not hike. Most people I have met in this area like the bar/night life and thats not really my scene. Planning to go next month to Arkansas and hike the Athens-Big Fork trail. Its a brutal hike but fun.

i just found out about and visited the coolest store that just opened up called fables coffee and curio. it’s located on youree drive right beside voodoux tattoux. they’ve only been open a few days and are in their soft opening stage, but this place is already so special and incredible. it’s got oddities, antiques, local art vendors, books, and soon a coffee bar that will be available in 2027. it’s the perfect spot for people who love all things witchy, whimsical, cottagecore, or dark fantasy. there’s truly nothing quite like it in the shreveport/bossier area and i highly recommend y’all go check it out and support them! it’s wonderful to have such a unique store/third space like this in the area. i definitely will be visiting it frequently and i’m excited to see how they grow! i picked up this copy of frankenstein during my visit today. i love the dark, spooky cover. so perfect for halloween! here’s a link to their instagram page so y’all can check them out: https://www.instagram.com/fablescc?psln=MWp6ZWJjcHJsZWtmaQ==

Wanting to get to Hope Connections

Hello. I got out of a domestic abuse situation and I made it about halfway to where I want to be on my own. I am currently in East Texas. I am trying to get somebody to pick me up and bring me to Shreveport. Hope Connections has confirmed that they have a place for me and my dog if I am willing to tough it out for a couple of nights until another person leaves the program. Is there someone who can pick me up and bring me there?
