Is "W" anti-science?
Out of all the letters in the English alphabet, only "W" has more than one syllable, having three.
This leads the absurd situation where it is quicker to say "World Wide Web" (3 syllables) than "WWW" (9 syllables).
It appears that "W" is anti-science and is purposely slowing down progress in technology.
I propose changing "double-U" to "wuh" or something similar. Then we could say "wuh wuh wuh" instead of "double-U double-U double-U".

Learn German and enjoy the luxury of just saying 'veh'.
"veh veh veh reddit poonct com slash perfectlyreasonableaskscience"
It only comes at the cost of saying everything else more verbosely.

We could compromise and go with Dutch. It's a bit easier to learn but you have those bronchial-mulch sounds to contend with.

Agreed! If enough of us do it on a regular basis, they’ll have to change it.

I like the "woo" idea proposed by Gargleblaster25.

W is not anti-science, especially not science involving tungsten.
W is anti technology

That’s why you should say “double-u double-double-u” for WWW

I propose "woo". Woo is definitely pro-science and will accelerate the scientification process.
