Question / Help Was just thinking about hind today
Do Shia believe in the second story (liver eater)?
I don't think I like her even if she's a great Muslim...
What are your thoughts and opinions on her

We've never had an official rule and worked on a case by case basis, but this will serve as an official rule.
Due to the risks of safety and quality of the sub we're going to not allow the promotion and advertisements of groups, ziyarats, subreddits, pages, communities, apps, crossposts, donations... etc
If you are a credible group, speak to the moderators and we'll verify you and work something out, otherwise to the people who want to create communities I suggest just advertising through contributions to the group and people get curious and hit you up.
many donations end up being scams unfortunately so there is no way to verify, if it's desperate just talk to the mods but expect a lot of verification
we won't promote any independent or local scholars, sharing videos is fine just don't spam it and don't let it be the only thing you do.
we won't allow promotion of ziyarat groups as sometimes they are scams, obviously there are exceptions.
dating apps are a big no,
apps are a big no because of user data and other security risks
discords and reddits you made are also a no, esp since the ones i've seen lately are super bait. you can make them just don't promote them
If anyone has suggestions or a work around or thoughts, I'm open to having my mind changed share your thoughts, this mostly applies to people we don't know

The holy verse: "We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth." (Fussilat: 53).
From Imam Al-Baqir (as) regarding the interpretation of this verse, explaining that major signs will precede the reappearance so that people will be certain that Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) is the truth:
"In the horizons is the upheaval of the horizons against them, and within themselves is transformation (maskh). 'Until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth': that is the rising of Al-Qa'im; it is the truth from Allah, the Almighty and Majestic. This creation will see it; it is inevitable."

This isn't to just listen to music, I don't plan to, but it's getting harder for me to differentiate, what even is amusement gatherings at this point, please help me. I thought it would be the lyrics, the style? Wording. Etc etc, but if not those. Then what else. For example, are styles, pace, all considered haram? I mean it's allowed to listen to phonk music, so it's not the pace?. How about jazz? Hip hop? Specifically hip hop? Does anyone have any idea.
Actually I'm working on production of some personal projects that contain music. So I'll have to be careful. Somebody please help me out. And it's my work, so please consider that as well. Thank you

(Mods please don't delete this as I've searched through this sub-reddit as well as many other resources but have never found a good answer to this question.)
For context I am a hijabi and don't have plans to take it off, but I regularly see questions along the lines of "Why do women have to wear hijab while men don't" asked by non-Muslims and Muslims too and I have no idea how to respond, which makes me feel shaky in my faith.
---
In Islam women have more "modesty rules" compared to men. Some people will say that men are also required to be modest, but the base line for women is much different than the base line for men. Many non-Muslims argue that it is sexist that women must cover everything except their face and hands, while men are simply "recommended" to dress more modestly without any specific laws. Why is it this way?
As a side question:
I saw someone bring up the fact that the Quran mentions that Prophet Yusuf (AS) was so beautiful that women cut their hands off while looking at him(12:31). However, unless I am mistaken (please correct me if i'm wrong) Prophet Yusuf did not cover his face although many women looked at him with lust and attraction due to his "unearthly" beauty (as said in a tafsir I read). On the other hand for a women if her face is extremely attractive it becomes wajib for her to cover her face from non-mehrams.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
“My Ahl al-Bayt are like Noah’s Ark. Whoever boards it is saved, and whoever stays behind is drowned.”
Prophet Noah called his people to God for 950 years. The wait was long, but God’s promise came true, and the Ark became a way to save the believers from the flood.
We believe that even if we have to wait a thousand years or more, God’s promise will still come true. Imam Mahdi (AS), from the family of the Prophet, will one day appear to bring justice and peace to the world.
Just as Noah’s Ark was a way to salvation, we believe that following the Ahl al-Bayt and recognizing Imam Mahdi are important parts of finding the right path.
**No matter how long the wait, God’s promise will come true. The question is: will we be ready when that day comes?** ❤️

I am asking this to see if anyone can provide clarification because I interstate that you cannot prostrate on something you ‘wear’ however ayatollah sistani says that you can pray on the holy stones including the aqeeq.
Thank you for the answers

One of the easiest and greatest duties of the waiting believers during the occultation is consistently praying for the hastened relief of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) after the Fajr and Dhuhr prayers.
Imam Al-Sadiq (as) said regarding the virtue of this supplication:
"Whoever says after the Fajr prayer and after the Dhuhr prayer:
'O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and hasten their relief,'
will not die until he lives to see Al-Qa'im (as)."

Salam everyone! I think I’ve shared my story before on this sub but I had a panic attack for the first time in July this year and it was really scary. I didn’t know what was happening and it genuinely felt like I was going to die.
Being in that moment, I immediately felt terrified thinking I was gonna go to hell. I have debts that I’m working on paying off and while I’m capable of paying them off and have a plan to do so and am constantly making the effort to get out of it, I was scared that these debts would result in a severe punishment with Allah.
Ever since then, I’ve felt on edge. I fear that something is going to happen to my heart and Allah will take my soul while I still have these debts to pay off.
I haven’t felt genuine peace since July. I am genuinely doing my best to be better as a Muslim, I don’t listen to music much, I always pray, I read more Quran than I used to, and if course I’m working even harder to get out of this debt.
But it still doesn’t feel like enough and it feels like Allah’s mercy is so far from me. I feel so scared and I’ve been struggling to feel peace in salah. I just really want my normal life back. Please keep me in your duas and you will always be in mine ❤️

I was reading Sura Ibrahim today, and saw these two verses. It reminded me of what is happening today and the past years, where Israel and US are 'destroying mountains' and threatening to do so to try and reach those they have hatred for.
May Allah give us all patience 🙏

Assalamu Alaikum,
I have a question regarding Wadi-e-Hussain Cemetery in Karachi.
Is it permissible for a Sunni Muslim to be buried in Wadi-e-Hussain, considering that it is primarily a Shia cemetery?
I would appreciate answers supported by references from Shia scholars or Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh).

I’ve been questioning myself a lot lately, and I honestly don’t know where else to turn, so I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me understand what I’m going through.
I’ve been Shia my entire life, but I’ll be honest: I was never particularly well-informed about my own faith. It’s only been a few months that I’ve started seriously studying Shiism and learning more about the caliphate, Imam Ali (AS), and why we believe he was on Haq. I’m still learning, and I know I have a long way to go.
I’ve always deeply loved the Ahlul Bayt (AS), particularly Imam Ali (AS) and Bibi Fatima (SA). I haven’t studied the lives of the other members of the Ahlul Bayt as much yet, but I hope to learn more about them as I continue my journey.
Here’s where I’m struggling.
I’ve always considered myself a spiritual person. Not necessarily someone who has always been consistent with religious practice, but someone who has always believed in Allah and had a fear of Him. However, lately, I’ve been questioning my relationship with Allah in a way that genuinely scares me.
I want to love Allah for who He is, not simply because I want something from Him or because I’m afraid of His punishment.
I don’t want my relationship with Him to revolve around rewards and punishments. I want to worship Him because I love Him. I want to pray because I want to be close to Him, not because I’m afraid of what might happen if I don’t. I want my faith to come from genuine love rather than fear or obligation.
I know that Allah has told us about Himself through the Quran, but I find it easier to emotionally connect with the Ahlul Bayt because they were human beings. I can learn about what Imam Ali (AS) and Bibi Fatima (SA) went through, their struggles, their patience, their suffering, and their devotion. Learning about their lives makes me love them even more because I can understand, to some extent, what they experienced.
With Allah, I sometimes struggle to understand how to develop that same kind of personal, emotional connection. I know He is not comparable to His creation, and I’m not trying to compare Him to the Ahlul Bayt. I just don’t know how to make my love for Him feel as real and personal as the love I feel for them.
I want to love Allah the way someone loves their beloved. As human beings, most of us have experienced love in some form, and I want my relationship with Allah to be rooted in that kind of sincere longing, closeness, and devotion. I want to turn towards Him naturally, because I love Him, rather than constantly calculating whether something is a sin, whether I’ll be punished, or whether I’ll be rewarded.
And I’m scared.
Sometimes I feel like I love the Ahlul Bayt more than I love Allah, and then I start worrying that I might be committing shirk without even realizing it. These thoughts have been consuming me, and I don’t know how to navigate them. I don’t want to offend Allah, and I certainly don’t want to stray from my faith. If anything, I want to become closer to Him.
I’m sharing this because I genuinely want help, not because I’m trying to challenge anyone’s beliefs or disrespect my religion. I’m still learning, and I want to approach these questions sincerely.

His Eminence, the Great Imam Ruhollah Khomeini may Allah sanctify his soul reminds us not to forget that Allah swt is always with us, hearing and seeing, so we must never disobey Him while we are in His presence.
"The whole world is in the presence of God, so do not disobey Allah in His presence. Know that your tongues, your hearts, your eyes, your ears, and all your limbs are constantly in the presence of Allah. Do not dispute over worldly (duniya) positions and fleeting material matters. Let all your actions and your forward progress be purely for Allah."
