Caught launch from outside my apartment. Anyone else happen to catch this?

Near the 101 and Valley Circle Blvd. They seemed to have drifted north. “They” being at least four birds forming a nice round perimeter. I’ve never seen such a deliberate flying formation, has to have been intentional. I worry about raids.

Why is the Southside stretch of Ventura Blvd starting at Fulton Avenue and ending at Van Noord Avenue (almost Coldwayer Canyon) Residential and not commercial like practically all of Ventura Boulevard?

I always assumed both the North and South Side of Ventura Blvd in the SFV was always Commercial?

Long story short, my mom is coming to visit over Thanksgiving and I'm no cook. I live in Valley Glen and I want to take her to a nice spot for a Thanksgiving-ish meal maybe around $$-$$$ (doesn't have to serve turkey). She really liked the 94th Aero Squadron and watching the planes, but as we all know, they closed. If all else fails, I'm not opposed to Norm's or IHOP, but thought maybe some folks here would have some good recs.

Where do you take toddler to go trick or treating around Sherman Oaks? Dont care much about candies just want LO to experience Halloween. Important thing is being able to see other kids on costumes and houses with halloween decorations.

Do people go trick or treating only on halloween or also the day before ? Because it might be raining on 31st.

I ride on the bike path pretty much every day and have for years and everytime I pass the building across from the bike path here there's one or two beeps that go off. It's not loud enough to be startling but loud enough to be notable if that makes sense.

Does anyone know or have a guess as to why? Is it some sort of means of tracking how used the bike path is by the local government? Some remnant of some business that used to be at that building?

I'm 25, have no friends, and haven't dated since HS. I work, have odd hours 11am to 8pm, take care of my mom, and I'm starting to feel very lonely.

I have coworkers that have friends and they always mention hiking groups, and such via apps and that in person stuff is not much of a thing.

Where do I find people online of people around my age to hangout with and do activities and get my foot in the door?

Has anyone else noticed a strong ozone smell today? It’s extra strong up here in the Sherman Oaks hills.
