This same woman somehow has multiple names, and she’s always accidentally sending messages to the wrong person….even if they’re in the far reaches of outer space.

At least she was still interested, even though my actual age may be different that my chronological age, you know, due to the time spent in hypersleep.   

The relationship ended abruptly, she basically told me to go fack myself.

TLDR: a 93 year old lady baited a scammer and got him arrested on the spot

I always seem to get the “wrong person” phishing attempt – I assume this is the pig-butchering tactic that was discussed on John Oliver’s show. Usually I respond with something absurd right off the bat, if they come back, then I’ll start to throw in random acronyms, and then usually get locked into a movie reference.

I like to make it a contest to see how warped of a reality the person on the other side will accept before they blow me off, and showing any side of vulnerability will usually keep them on the hook, even absurd ones involving references to 80’s films (Airplane in this case).

Hi y’all, it’s been a month since I posted this dunce but between being painfully bored of his script love bombing and wanting to spare you all that/going on vacation I finally have an update! I left out many pages but we finally finally got to the ask and he has dropped the AI facade completely.

I was wondering why he never bit when I mentioned gift cards and now I see, he thought he hooked a big fish. I think I started with 2 houses and now I’m at 5? Can hardly tell anymore but he is absolutely drooling. I think I told him originally I work in the sciences department at MIT which apparently makes me a billionaire in his eyes?

I honestly think he checked out a long time ago, and ordinarily, I would have also. But the "smart" scammer pool is pretty sparse since they started using chat bot and we baiters won't tolerate it. I never thought I would have fond memories of non-copy pasta love bombing and stupid comments I could barely understand. At the end of this, he goes back to an idiot story about colored fish and it was lovely. But you can feel his detachment, even as he goes through a robotic protest about my leaving, and as expected, the attempt to reveal was met with crickets. I gave him a couple days to try, since he didn't block me, but nothing. I would like to say I have a good one coming, as Linda has changed her age to 60 and become an airline pilot who is fairly pleasant, but I think it might be awhile. I need to learn to tolerate ridiculous stories without questioning them, it seems. While making up my own ridiculous stories 😉. I'm working on it.

I'm on vacation so I might be posting sporadically this week. 😊

I had to repost, I noticed I forgot to remove the bank details. They left without a word. For the first time they brought in an Norwegian account. It’s for a credit bank, so I can’t see who it’s linked to. I don’t think the name they used has been involved in anything.
I will contact the bank tomorrow, maybe it’s easier since it’s a Norwegian bank. These people has obviously scammed many people, since they has accounts in several different countries.

I've been getting these Discord friend requests every other day or so and all of them are obvious scams. Accounts made in the last few months, no mutual friends or servers. So why not have some fun with it?

I saw a few other Reddit posts about this Infinity Kingdom scam that's pretty prevalent on Discord, and got an idea of what their script was. So I thought, how long would these guys even keep talking to me if I send them their script first and act totally oblivious? Not very long apparently but I did get a laugh out of it.

I'm not super well versed in how this scam works, but as I understand, Infinity Kingdom is a real game and apparently if these scammers get you in their clan or on their server, they get some sort of commissions on your in-app purchases. They pretend to be your friend, or act flirty to get lonely guys on there and turn them into whales.
