Introducing…
This is my 9 week old puppy. I’ve had him for a week now, and am working on a name.
I have it narrowed down to a couple choices: Colin vs Linden
I’m open to other suggestions. I have a strong preference for two syllable names, and like people names for animals. Maybe this community can help me decide, or, perhaps, suggest something I haven’t thought of?

I like Linden a lot. I love that fuzzy webkinz look that puppies have 😩 my girl looked like an adorable ball of dryer lint

Same, which is why it’s so hard to choose. A linden tree is a handsome tree, just like this boy is a handsome little pup
Gotta watch out for the pointy bits he’s hiding under that fuzz and cuteness though

He’ll grow into the legs.

Watching him run is adorable and hilarious, with those little clumsy limbs! He’s growing fast though

My other dog is named Siggy! She’s a 5yo mini aussie x poodle mix, and has been trying to herd the little guy anytime they are outside. She’s a bit of a bully, but slowly accepting him

The cuteness really helps his case when he gets bitey!

Yes we had a similar phase with our Major. He's almost 5 months now but the biting has gotten so much better

I had a collie mix growing up that went through a very bitey phase and it sucked. One day a neighbor who trained dogs suggested I bite the dog back. Like hold his mouth closed and gently put my teeth on his nose. It worked, but he was older than your pup by then. He stopped mouthing constantly and made him a lot more fun. He was my heart dog, I miss him immensely.

Your title says Hamish the dog, so I expected him to be named Hamish! If you want Scottish, how about Angus? Collin is good, but someone is going to shorten it to Collie.

Hamish was my best boy, but he lost his battle with cancer last year.
I like Colin because it has Scottish roots as Cailean, which means pup. I’ll call him Lindy for short though

He is so cute. I have a 14-week-old who is still bitey. One minute she is this sweet little thing licking my face and then my noise is in her mouth. Eith name is great.
