Hab meine erste gebrauchte Rolex gekauft heute
Was sagt ihr?
I was lucky to pick up this beauty yesterday as the AD Beyer is closing its store end of year due to the owner passing away. Beyer is the oldest watch store in entire Switzerland, hence I am especially happy and thankful to be able to get one of the last Rolex sales there.

I’m interested in picking up the new Datejust 36 with the blue Roman numeral dial and was wondering what the current wait times and demand are like.
For anyone who has recently inquired about or purchased one, how long did you have to wait? Is it relatively easy to get through an AD, or is there still significant demand for this particular dial?
Would love to hear about your experiences, especially from anyone who has purchased one since its release this year.

Annual golf day, super grateful for the invite and day out. There were 3 food and drink stations during the day.

Just picked up an explorer 36 as an early graduation gift to myself. It’s not quite hit me yet

Harry Kane, winner of this years Ballon d'Or (best football player of the year), was wearing the £1m+ blue sapphire Rolex Daytona at the event tonight. He has taste. Winner off and on the pitch. Wow.

I have a 1999 Rolex Datejust with a stainless steel Oyster bracelet (ref. 78360) that was passed down to me from my father.
I recently noticed a crack in one of the bracelet links and brought it to a Rolex boutique in NYC. They inspected it and confirmed the damage, but told me that because of which link is cracked, they cannot replace that individual link and would instead need to replace the entire bracelet.
What I find frustrating is that I already have spare links for this bracelet, but they claim they cannot simply remove the damaged link and replace it with one of my extras.
The watch has significant sentimental value to me, passed down from my father, so I’d strongly prefer to preserve the original bracelet rather than replace the entire thing. It seems pretty ridiculous to me that a single damaged link would require purchasing an entirely new bracelet, especially when I already have spare links available.
I asked Rolex to inquire about the cost of a full replacement bracelet and whether I would be allowed to keep my original bracelet. I’m still waiting to hear back after a few days but the representative at the store did not make me hopeful.
I’m curious whether anyone here has dealt with something similar:
Is Rolex genuinely unable to replace this type of link, or is this simply their service policy?
Has anyone successfully had a damaged permanent link replaced or repaired, either through Rolex or an independent specialist?
Are there reputable specialists who can repair this while preserving the original bracelet?
If a full replacement really is necessary, what should I expect to pay for a genuine Rolex Oyster bracelet?
I’d appreciate any advice or experiences. I really want to keep the watch as original as possible, and replacing an entire bracelet over one cracked link feels excessive.

I don’t know why but I’m suddenly seeing these get more popular. Feel like it’s one of the underrated models and I love mine because it isn’t the expected piece for a woman to own.

Hey all. So my sales associate just reached out to me to let me know that they would be leaving the AD in a few days. I’m super bummed because not only were they phenomenal, getting me 3 allocations in less than a year, but I also built a really nice friendship with them. They did tell me to come into the store tomorrow so that they could introduce me to a sales associate they thought would be a really good fit for me, completely unprompted, which I really appreciate.
Now based on the many times my SA has gone above and beyond for me, not to mention that I think this will be a friendship that continues past them leaving(we’re going to grab drinks or something to celebrate their next career chapter) I have to imagine they’re going to try to set me up in as good of a position with this new SA I’m meeting as possible.
But I wanted to hear from anyone who’s been through a similar situation—is there any world where this is a seamless transition, or am I completely screwed and back to square one?

Hey all. I have a sub date that I love wearing most days, and I was thinking of putting my explorer 1 40 on a rubber strap of some kind to spice it up and at some more versatility to my collection. Totally open to any recommendations, the only thing I will say is I’ve heard some pretty bad things about helvetus straps.
I think a brighter color with a little pop would be fun—even white or a powder blue or something. But feel free to talk me out of that—truly any recs are greatly appreciated.

We have been on multiple waitlists for a Lavender OP for my wife for about a year now, and we finally got the call today. However, we also got lucky about 5 months ago and bought a white DJ 36 (roman numerals, jubilee bracelet, and smooth bezel) as a walk-in while traveling out of state.
My wife would love to get the OP, but I am worried that we are going to lose money on the DJ and selling it so quickly might get us on a Rolex black list for future purchases. What would you guys do in this situation? Forget about the Lavender OP since we have already bought the DJ or should we try to trade it in to the AD that we would be buying the OP from?

Found this service card in a pouch I recently purchased on here. Seeing if I can find it’s owner and return it!

Here’s my GMT-Master II 116710LN, from 2019, the final year of production.
I’ve always loved how clean and understated this reference is. The all-black bezel makes it incredibly versatile, and it goes with pretty much anything.
I know the Batman and Pepsi get most of the attention, but there’s something special about this one.
What about you guys? Would you pick this over a Batman or Pepsi?
