I write anywhere from semi Lit to advanced. I’d like to emphasize I write at a length I feel the roleplay calls for and I trust in myself and my partners to do that so I don’t police length. Sometimes that’s 1-2 paragraphs. Sometimes that’s 10+ paragraphs that go beyond the chat threshold once or twice. That doesn’t mean I slack off on detail but I understand the concept of writing less to let my partner have an opportunity to contribute to the scene. There’s nothing that peeves me more than not getting enough creative control over an important scene.

I’d also like to warn you ahead of time I am a big communicator. I like to make friends out of my RP partners. For some its all business but for me its everything. All my RP’s have an outlet for out-of-character talking and sometimes I’m entirely fine with talking there when we’re not in the mood to continue playing at that particular moment. I understand that life happens and we need to take a step back from things sometimes so I don’t hunt for responses although after a few days I will check in to see if you’re still interested. I am big on communication and I like to work things out before ending things.

I’d also like to point out that I’ve been criticized for being “picky” before but I’d describe myself more as “communicative about what I’m interested in and what I like” that way we can maintain a fun RP for the both of us. But if my input is coming off as too much just let me know so I can correct it. I know how much the culture of RP has lately been big on ghosting but I’m not like that so I expect the same respect.

Now, let’s talk about my plots! I’m amenable to coming up with something of our own. I also have some set plots of different genres all with an aspect of romance to them. When we decide on a plot I ask that we both discuss a general skeleton of a plot structure before we start so we don’t get stuck in the first Act. I’m a fan of SOL but some are and some aren’t. Hello, F24! I’m looking for someone to do a long-term, story-focused ASOIAF RP with. I’m very passionate about creating good stories alongside a creative partner, and I’m hoping to do an ASOIAF setting with whomever is interested!

I prefer to do only OC’s in an alternate universe. The world’s lore (houses, history, ancient canon characters) are there for us to use, but otherwise I love to create the world we’re going to RP in without thinking about canon.

It’s important to me that you are literate and can write more than just one little paragraph. That’s not to say I don’t do short bursts for dialogue, but I enjoy having someone that can be descriptive! Besides world building, I love to have a good amount of side characters, subplots and intricate arcs, and it’s important that you enjoy doing that with me too! I enjoy writing in third person past tense and appreciate it if you also do, but I’m more lenient on this. Right off the bat, I want to say that I'm a 28 year old woman from the UK (a matching timezone is obviously not required but it's always nice) and I'm seeking partners (21+ please) of any gender who are willing to play a main male character.

What to expect from me:

Modern:

New Teacher (f, early 20s) x Old Teacher (m, late 30s-late 40s) - strongly suggest knowing about British secondary schools here. As someone familiar to working in education, I love the idea of this optimistic hopeful entering the world of teaching (a ray of sunshine) being met with the harsh realities of the job. Another teacher in her department is incredibly jaded by the education system. Maybe he's a recent divorcee maybe. Though he finds it within himself to take this new teacher under his wing - and soon there's a tension between them that there definitely shouldn't be.

Medieval:

I'll split this into three strands:

• Exploring a precarious relationship within a noble household, such as a serving member of the household or lady in waiting becoming involved with the Lord of the manor.
• Exploring something to do with faith and subverting ideas. Like a parish priest who hears the secrets of a married noblewoman. Or a priest and a woman accused of witchcraft.
• Exploring female power at this time - such as a widowed noblewoman who is trying to hold onto her new wealth and power and has to play a complicated game of chess.

Regency:

I have two quite similar ideas for this trope, one involves the FMC having her engagement suddenly broken off and it be the centre of rumours about her virtue as a result, and another about her being not finding her place in the marriage market and having to become a governess. I see her paired with an older regency gentleman, and it'll be very Austen!

Early 20th Century:

First World War. Field hospital, North-West France. A stubborn young surgeon (late 20s/early 30s) from a humble background whose pulled himself up through the ranks meets a new upper-class voluntary nurse (early 20s) who is on the run from her past. Neither understand the other, and quite frankly annoy each other greatly - until their lips crash together post-argument, that is.

Fandom:

There's not many of these, and they're long shots!

Part of me will always be looking for someone to play the 10th Doctor against another OC, a Welsh primary school teacher. I have loads of 'episode ideas'.

Something a little more niche - The Other Bennett Sister was fantastic, and I'd be very interested in someone who could play Thomas Hayward for me.

My OC is a top mage's assistant. She's not too great at magic, but is very diligent and is known for making up for what little she has in magic with the knowledge she has of magic. She doesn't even fight, and often takes the backseat. Normally, she'd live with her mage, but actually she lives in an apartment, residing there under the favor of (YOUR OC)'s friend.

(YOUR OC) has their own house. Freshly bought, it was reduced to rubble days later, leaving (YOUR OC) homeless for a few months while they re-center themselves and look for a new place to live. After a regretful time living on the move for a while, they decided for now, since they didn't have a house, they'd have to find a place to settle temporarily. Somewhere they could go home to for more than a day.

They consult a friend, who reluctantly agreeds to let them live in one of their houses, leaving nothing but a passing mention of a roommate. (YOUR OC) moves in and recognizes the figure on the couch appears oddly familiar—

She was totally different.. That woman. So easygoing. Careless even? Was this really the same woman who worked under a prestigious mage??

After a sudden heated exchange at the door, it was clear they weren't going to get along. Rules had to be set.

She locked eyes, the sudden seriousness a silly contrast. Adorned in lax attire, what little seriousness she lacked in her outfit she made up with in tone.

hello, i’m ian 23(f) looking to do a roleplay inspired by twilight and vampire diaries. it’s truly a pairing for bella x elena what would have become of them if they were dropped in the same space?

think about it — they’re both dating vampires, constantly being hunted, on the run, and trying to save those important to them. they’re living with a secret they’re not allowed to share with anyone outside their circle. their entire worlds revolve around these vampires and their way of living. the two didn’t see eye to eye at first, mostly because of their different views on immortality. one is a romanticizer, while the other sympathizes with the idea but wouldn’t want it for herself. still, the two begin to build a bond, for only they can truly understand the weight of the secret they carry.

so, while their boyfriends are out hunting or off doing whatever silly quest requires them to leave, it leaves the two alone together. naturally, elena invites bella into her part of the world, showing her the value of human life, while bella introduces her to a less chaotic world that truly only revolves around jacob and his tribe. still, even though her world is smaller, it’s just as good. they grow closer with each passing day, and their hearts begin to sway.

to bella, there was no one else but edward, or at least, that’s what she thought. the same went for elena and stefan. so, why did their eyes linger on one another for so long? as if one were trying to say something without words, both too scared to acknowledge the string pulling them toward each other.

the plot is angst driven, closeted feelings, unexplored tension, maybe doomed romance. all things can be discussed in dms if you’re interested!
also, everyone is aged up !! both elena and bella are still human and 20. this plot can also be ocxoc too !!

Quick note before anything else: this is the setting of the Avatar films, not the cartoon.

So I'm after a partner for a romance set on Pandora, somewhere around the start of the second movie — the Sky People are back, which conveniently explains why there are humans wandering around at all, and nobody's quite shooting at each other yet but it's close. That tension is most of the appeal for me. Everything happens under it.

I'd like to play the human side of it. I haven't nailed my character down beyond a rough shape, and I quite enjoy doing the rest with my partner to make it specific. If you've got an idea for your Na'vi, or for how they'd end up in the same place as some human who has no business being there, I'd enjoy hearing that first and build around it.

On the practical side, I'm not fussy about length. We don't need to go full Tolkien and nobody's posting ten paragraphs a reply, but decent writing would be appreciated. First or third person both fine. I'm around most days but I don't need you to be, and I'd much rather you tell me you're busy, bored, or want to go a different direction than vanish. That matters to me more than reply speed does. Happy to talk characters, and preferences before we start anything.

Here is a potential opener:

Two hours left on the filter, and he'd passed the same tree three times. He was sure of it; a strip of bark torn away down one side, pale as bone underneath, and you don't see that twice - even here.

The drill was to sit down and wait, because panic burns air. He'd nodded along to that in orbit with everything else. What nobody mentioned was that the flare brought a Valkyrie out to collect you, and then the whole base knew you were the one who'd lost the equipment. So he kept walking. He knew it was the worse option even while he was doing it.

The light went out of the forest slowly, the way it does on Pandora, draining up through the canopy until only the highest leaves held it. Then everything else began. The helicoradian he brushed past furled itself shut with a soft wet snap. He swore into his mask, jumping at the sound. When he turned there were a dozen more of them along the slope, closing one after another, a wave of movement. He trudged on, moss sprang back up blue under his boots. The hanging flowers, the ones that look like lanterns and smell, through a filter, of nothing at all opened on the vines above him and threw a light that didn't belong to anything he'd been raised under. Small things he never saw clearly scurried through it, leaving little trails of brightness in the air behind them. He'd been told to expect all this. He'd never managed to picture it properly. It was the strangest thing in the world to be lost inside something so beautiful and be counting down the minutes of air.

He didn't hear anything. He was still arguing with himself about the flare when something moved between him and the last of the light, close, close enough to make out the pale bands across its forearm, the braid swinging as it tilted its head. His hand went to his belt before he'd decided anything.

"Don't" ... The voice cut through the silence

Humanity has long since ceased to be what it once was. The routine that used to be completely normal for many people - getting up in the morning, going to work, getting through the day, coming home in the evening, and collapsing onto the couch exhausted - no longer exists. That everyday life is long gone. Today, it is no longer about living a normal life. It is simply about survival.

During this time, numerous settlements have been established. People have come together in order to have a better chance of surviving in this new world.

I am part of one such settlement. It is called SETRA. We have settled in a football stadium in Seattle. It serves as a large base where we have everything we need to survive.

Last week, Patrol 14 disappeared.

They were only supposed to follow a familiar route and search for new supplies. Nothing unusual for them. They knew the route and knew what to look out for. But at some point, contact was lost. No radio transmission. No sign. Nothing.

They were simply gone.

Now my team, Patrol 7, and a newly assembled patrol from the western side of the base have been assigned to search for them.

To be honest, I am not particularly happy about sending a new and inexperienced patrol on such an important mission. Especially during an operation like this, every wrong decision can have serious consequences.

But what can I really do about it…?

I am looking for a roleplay partner who would like to create and play an original female character in this detailed The Last of Us roleplay. I’m Jamie, from the US, Florida (GMT-4)!

It is important to mention that none of the established characters from the video games The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II will appear. We will be playing entirely original characters and creating our own story within this universe. The focus of the roleplay will be on survival, exploration, danger, difficult decisions, conflicts, teamwork, and character development.

The story should develop naturally. Our characters could start out as complete strangers and gradually get to know each other through missions and shared experiences. Over time, they can learn how to work together, support one another, and function effectively as a team. The exact starting situation is not completely decided yet. For example, we could decide that your character is part of the newly assembled patrol from the beginning. Alternatively, we can come up with another starting point if you have your own idea. I am completely open to suggestions and would be happy to hear your ideas.

My Character:

I already have a complete and detailed description prepared for my character. It contains everything important about him and should give you a better impression of how I envision him. If you have any suggestions or ideas regarding my character, feel free to let me know. If they fit the concept, we can discuss them and potentially incorporate them.

Your Character:

When it comes to your character, you are completely free to create whoever you want. You decide who she is, what she looks like, where she comes from, what her personality is like, and what kind of past she has. There are no strict requirements you have to follow. I would like to ask you to create a detailed and creative character description for your character as well. It is important to me that the description gives a good impression of who your character is, what her personality is like, what she can do, and what experiences she has had. Hello! I'm Sam. I've done roleplay on and off for around 8 years but I've been away for a bit, so I'm a little rusty and a bit nervous posting this.

So Im currently watching the Traitors and now can't leave it alone. I'd love to write something set in the castle with two OCs. The bit I keep coming back to is liking someone and also not being able to rule out that they're the reason your friend didn't turn up to breakfast. I want the romance to sneak up on us rather than kick off super early. Sitting next to each other at the round table, defending the wrong person, a quiet chat somewhere you shouldn't be at 2am.

I haven't planned much beyond that. Who's a Traitor, who gets recruited, who goes home, we can work out together (or keep it secret from each other, which I'd really enjoy)

Hello! I’m an eighteen-year-old woman in the CST timezone. I've been interested in a long-term character-focused rp. I would really appreciate an rp where we really delve into the minds and nuances of our characters.

Tropes I enjoy in fantasy I enjoy:

My writing length is anywhere from semi-lit to novella (l mirror) but I usually land around lit. I prefer quality over quantity any day. I usually write in third-person limited, but I’m open to other writing styles.
I only play female characters. I don't care what your preference is but my main character will always be female. Please have a complex character. I want someone with a great deal of depth to explore. Dm or comment with your favorite color please.

Somewhere between the ordinary days and the unexpected moments, two people might just find something neither of them knew they were missing.

I'm looking for a female character to build a romance with my male character, one that doesn't need grand gestures or dramatic declarations to feel meaningful. Maybe they meet through mutual friends, become neighbors, work together, or keep running into each other at the same little coffee shop. However they meet, I'd love for their relationship to grow naturally, from awkward introductions and playful teasing to late-night conversations, shared meals, lazy Sundays, and the comfortable silence that comes with knowing someone truly well.

I'm open to brainstorming our characters, their backgrounds, and how they meet so we can create something that feels personal to both of us. I'd especially love a story with plenty of character development, natural dialogue, romantic tension, humor, and those little moments that make fictional relationships feel real.

Hello! Ive been wanting to write as Robert Robertson again. I'd love to write against anyone from the Z-Team but I'm actually also open to crossovers! Or writing with another Robert!

I have actually these two ideas in my mind at the moment.

One being a multiverse idea with Robert and how every choice leads to an alternative Robert/timeline. This could tie in perfectly if you also wanted to write as Robert. (We could even personify him around for it. Got ideas for that too. Maybe a Robert who turns out to be an antihero/villain? Who knows.)

And the other idea is a crossover with Deadlock! And how Robert could end up in that universe and he needs to complete the ritual in order to get back to his universe. (I just really love deadlock at the moment I would love to see him interact with my main Billy haha)

Other than that though I'm open to other crossovers/ideas as well as whoever else from the Dispatch universe!

Im not picky. I dont even mind if we end up just chatting OOC most of the time lol. I try to write as often as I can but inspiration tends to come and go for me. Which is why I try to keep my responses short but I am naturally a multi-paragraph writer.

My name is Quin, I’m a thirty three year old male hailing from California and I’ve been writing for ten plus years or so. Before we get to the good stuff and why you’re here, there are some basics to go over and I’ll start with a big one for me personally that I’m well aware may lose most of the audience. It’s also the subject of today’s post and one I hope you’ll find interest in. Psssssst it’s not Star Wars/Star Trek/anything space related. The C word. No, NOT THAT ONE. We can’t say bad words here and you think THAT one is okay?! Silly goose. It’ll make sense in a couple seconds if you’re lost.

- The way my self diagnosed autistic bum works when it comes to RP’ing is this….. If I don’t have a solid image or GIF of how our characters look and move, ma’ brain shuts down along with any care for them. Blue screens. Blank stare. Rainbow of death on a Mac. Alt F4, I’m done. 3D animation? Nope. Drawings? Nope. So…. No OC’s? Got a reference image? No, I only do OC art. I’m sorry for wasting your time but I can promise we’re not going to work out. (Cheesy breakup music here) It’s not you it’s me now don’t, (sniffle) don’t make this any harder than it has to be now get!…… You’re, still here and interested? Hekin ya.

- If only there were some sort of like, search engine or something where images of people were easy to find. And like, varieties of what they were wearing. Almost, almost like it was this persons CAREER or something to be in the public eye… Like those, moving picture things…

- Okay enough with the vague posting, that even hurt me to write.

I’m here today looking for someone who would be willing and open to write a long term story in the world of the celebrity space. Where will this take us? I’ve always been a fan of starting in one of two places….

The first being from nobody to the body. It gives us all the moments from background character on Law And Order or gas station commercial you see when pumping to working on finishing your EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony). From waitress or basic 9-5 job here to certified superstar. From a one bedroom apartment or living at home to wondering which house to spend our vacation at. From zero to hero, you get the idea.

The other isn’t my favorite but I’d be lying if I said there was no interest. You’re already a household name and you find yourself falling head over heels for someone not even in the same tax bracket.

I’m not against my character being in the industry either.

It won’t all be sunshine and rainbows. There will be opportunities lost, friends lost, scandals, creepy fans, crashing out, and so on. All the stuff that makes any story like this feel fulfilling.

Now let’s get to my writing style.

- First or third is fine by me.

- I have no YOU MUST write this much but please be able to at the very least put one paragraph together. Sometimes, often honestly, seven paragraphs simply aren’t needed every single time. If and on the very rare occasion if nothing comes to mind I’ll get a few sentences your way in order to move our story forward instead of holding us up.

- I’m an adult. You’re an adult. We have stuff to do outside of what we may create so please do take your time however if you vanish for weeks on end that’s where I draw my line. Don’t waste my time and I won’t waste yours. Hope I’m not sounding mean but, ya.

Hey! I'm looking for someone interested in a SOL roleplay focused on character development, interpersonal tension, and gradual relationship development.

I'm not looking for a completely predetermined story. I'd much rather create the characters, setting, and direction together and see where things naturally go. I'm particularly interested in stories where the characters don't necessarily get along immediately—awkward first meetings, misunderstandings, conflicting personalities, old disagreements, or circumstances that keep bringing two people into each other's lives.

The characters would have their own lives outside the story: work, hobbies, friends, routines, personal goals, and everyday problems. I'd like the interactions between them to develop naturally alongside all of that.

Some possible setups

The New Neighbour

One of us moves into a new apartment or house, only to discover their neighbour is rather difficult. Their first meeting goes badly, perhaps over something completely mundane, and they continue encountering one another despite getting on each other's nerves. Over time, those first impressions begin to change as they discover there's more to the other person than they initially thought.

The Bookstore

A chance encounter in a bookstore starts with the two characters reaching for the same book—or perhaps disagreeing over it. They keep running into each other afterward, whether one works there or they're both regular visitors. What begins as mild irritation gradually becomes familiarity, with plenty of room for teasing, disagreements, and discovering unexpected similarities.

The Gym

Two regulars repeatedly encounter each other at the same gym, but neither makes a particularly good first impression. Maybe they're competitive, perhaps they misunderstand each other's personalities, or they simply get under each other's skin. Eventually they have a reason to actually talk, and their opinion of one another begins to change.

The Lost Stranger

One character is new to a city and finds themselves completely lost, eventually asking a stranger for help. What should be a brief interaction turns into something longer, perhaps because they need help finding somewhere important or keep unexpectedly crossing paths afterward. Neither expected the encounter to become significant.

House Sitting

Two people independently agree to look after the same property, only discovering the misunderstanding when they both arrive. Neither is particularly happy about sharing the space, but circumstances leave them there together. As the days pass, awkwardness and disagreements gradually give way to genuine conversations and a better understanding of each other.

The Road Trip

Two people who don't necessarily get along find themselves travelling together. Maybe they're helping a mutual friend, attending the same event, or simply need to reach the same destination. Spending hours together creates plenty of opportunities for arguments, unexpected laughter, uncomfortable silences, and conversations they might never have had otherwise.

The Friend's Sibling

We've known of each other for years through a mutual friend, but we've never exactly gotten along. Maybe we've always competed, teased each other, or simply have completely different personalities. Circumstances now mean spending more time together, making it increasingly difficult to maintain those old assumptions about one another.

The Wedding

Two strangers meet at a wedding where neither particularly wants to be. Perhaps they're seated together, taking a break from the festivities, or simply looking for someone to talk to. An awkward first interaction develops into an unexpected connection, leaving both wondering whether they'll ever cross paths again once the event is over.

These are just starting points, and I'm very open to changing them or combining ideas. I'd rather build something together than stick rigidly to a predetermined plot.

I can adapt to different writing styles and post lengths.

I'm reasonably active, but I don't expect my writing partner to be available constantly.

I’m Ghost, i’m 25 and i’ve been roleplaying on and off for 10 years. I prefer to roleplay in 3rd but I can do either. I only roleplay as men and i’m comfortable with any relationship dynamic regarding that. I’m super chill, if you have any idea you want to throw in to the rp feel free to do so without asking. I like for my roleplays to emulate the surprises that happen in the real world. Backstory Plot: An epidemic known as Scocus Rheura or Sco, swept through the world quicker than humans could catch it causing mayhem. Millions died, stores were looted, powergrid is down and the people that are still alive can be dangerous. The only saving grace is FEMA who will do random supply drops throughout the month and do their best to keep the public informed. All that’s known currently about Sco is that its passed through tainted blood getting in the healthy hosts system, it takes 3 days for symptoms to appear and by the 7th day the infected is dead. The symptoms are fever, bloodshot eyes and shortness of breath.

Actual Plot: It’s been a year since the outbreak and it hasnt been easy for your OC. Like most survivors, they’ve lost everyone close to them...except their little sibling that they fiercely protect. Your OC is scavenging in an abandoned office building when my OC, Joey comes in hoping to do the same thing. Joey noticing your OC’s sibling, offers refuge in the form of the abandoned warehouse where he and other survivors live(sorry if its worded weird, it wont let me post certain words together for some reason)
