Hey everyone!
I recently ran into a pretty specific issue with Rocksmith 2014, and after spending some time trying to find a simple solution, I ended up making my own.
Here's my setup:
- I use a USB audio interface for my guitar. (generic bomge U204)
- My headphones are connected to my regular Windows audio output, not the interface. (im poor)
- I wanted to share Rocksmith on Discord with game audio so my friends could actually hear me playing.
Sounds simple enough, right?
Well, not really when you're using RS_ASIO.
I first tried the well-known Voicemeeter Banana approach, routing Rocksmith's ASIO output through Voicemeeter to both my headphones and a virtual audio device for streaming.
While this is a perfectly valid solution, I found the whole audio routing setup more complicated than I wanted for something as simple as sharing my game on Discord.
I just wanted to launch Rocksmith, share the game window, and have the audio work without dealing with virtual audio devices and routing configurations every time.
So I ended up making Rocksmith Discord Bridge.
It uses RS_ASIO and a small audio bridge that makes the game's audio capturable by Discord while streaming the original Rocksmith window.
I also made a Windows installer with a guided setup, so you don't have to manually configure everything.

It's completely free and open source.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying this is better than Voicemeeter for everyone. Voicemeeter is much more flexible and can do a lot more. I just wanted something simpler for this particular use case.
I know this is a very niche problem, but hopefully it'll save someone else the time I spent figuring it out.
If anyone tries it with a different audio interface, I'd love to hear how it goes. Feedback and contributions are welcome!
One last thing for transparency: I built this project with the help of AI. I used it during development to help turn my idea into a working tool. Just wanted to be upfront about that!
