Mac OS Mac native silicon arm64 static recompile - RS Re-ARMed 2026
There now exists Rosetta free RS 2014 for Mac. https://github.com/bbelgg/rs-rearmed
It plays butter smooth. This is the version Windows users have had from the beginning, finally on Mac. It requires the original game and for you to recompile it (happens through installer).

Custom Songs Extremely Difficult Band/Song suggestions (Like Dragonforce - Through The Fire and The Flames), CDLC welcome
Hello, I’ve recently gotten into playing dragonforce songs and struggling through them has improved my playing a ton. I’m looking for more high difficulty song/band suggestions. Does not have to be the same genre. I’m aware of Joe Satriana, Cliffs of Dover, Painkiller, etc. I love the really note-dense stuff with little down-time. Please help, it’s the only way I can get off any more!

I made a tool to stream Rocksmith 2014 with audio on Discord without Voicemeeter Banana
Hey everyone!
I recently ran into a pretty specific issue with Rocksmith 2014, and after spending some time trying to find a simple solution, I ended up making my own.
Here's my setup:
- I use a USB audio interface for my guitar. (generic bomge U204)
- My headphones are connected to my regular Windows audio output, not the interface. (im poor)
- I wanted to share Rocksmith on Discord with game audio so my friends could actually hear me playing.
Sounds simple enough, right?
Well, not really when you're using RS_ASIO.
I first tried the well-known Voicemeeter Banana approach, routing Rocksmith's ASIO output through Voicemeeter to both my headphones and a virtual audio device for streaming.
While this is a perfectly valid solution, I found the whole audio routing setup more complicated than I wanted for something as simple as sharing my game on Discord.
I just wanted to launch Rocksmith, share the game window, and have the audio work without dealing with virtual audio devices and routing configurations every time.
So I ended up making Rocksmith Discord Bridge.
It uses RS_ASIO and a small audio bridge that makes the game's audio capturable by Discord while streaming the original Rocksmith window.
I also made a Windows installer with a guided setup, so you don't have to manually configure everything.
GitHub: https://github.com/erickyfigueiredo/RocksmithDiscordBridge
It's completely free and open source.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying this is better than Voicemeeter for everyone. Voicemeeter is much more flexible and can do a lot more. I just wanted something simpler for this particular use case.
I know this is a very niche problem, but hopefully it'll save someone else the time I spent figuring it out.
If anyone tries it with a different audio interface, I'd love to hear how it goes. Feedback and contributions are welcome!
One last thing for transparency: I built this project with the help of AI. I used it during development to help turn my idea into a working tool. Just wanted to be upfront about that!

Demoing my tabs App.
Hey guys just wanted to Demo QuickRS, to hopefully generate some interest.
I am super close to having most of the features (Note for note, proper RS highway emulation, pitch transpose, APPLE MAC version, etc.) and fixes requested on my last release, but I need some encouragement in the form of interest.
I have thoroughly tested a lot of it since I use it almost everyday, however there's thing like the mac build or the highway that I barely use, so for me to test I need some encouragement and maybe even volunteers. Please let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks~!

RS2014 I built a free, open-source TAB overlay for Rocksmith 2014 that follows the song in real time

TL;DR: free, open-source TAB overlay for Rocksmith 2014 Remastered. It reads the chart from your installed .psarc, follows the live song clock, and draws a normal six-string TAB staff over the game. No chart conversion, no second TAB file, no alt-tabbing.
I've been using Rocksmith to learn songs for years, but I always end up looking for a TAB to see the actual fretboard patterns. So I built this: a click-through overlay that stays on top of Rocksmith and follows the song in real time. It doesn't modify the game or your save; it only reads the chart and the clock.
What it does
- Two-row rolling page (default) or continuous scrolling view.
- Lead, Rhythm and Bass paths, with the live path badge.
- Chords, sustains, slides, tremolo, bends, hammer-ons/pull-offs, vibrato, taps, slap/pop, measure numbers and a playhead.
- Live hit/miss/streak counters. Finished notes fade; misses that can be matched to Rocksmith's counters turn gray.
- Click-through and always-on-top; follows the Rocksmith client window and hides when you alt-tab.
- No hardcoded resolution or frame rate. It reads the game's client rectangle, is PerMonitorV2 DPI-aware, and renders on the monitor's composition clock. 60/120/144/240 Hz all work; scroll speed is driven by the song clock, not FPS.
- Remembers mode, bars per row, notation size, position and opacity.
- No ads, no telemetry, no account. Everything is local.
Requirements
- Windows 10/11 x64.
- Rocksmith 2014 Remastered (not Rocksmith+).
- Borderless or windowed mode. Windows blocks overlays over exclusive fullscreen.
- .NET 8 Desktop Runtime, or use the self-contained release.
- Run the launcher as admin so it can talk to an elevated Rocksmith/RockSniffer.
Install
- Download the latest release: RocksmithTabOverlay-0.1.0-win-x64.zip
- Extract it somewhere writable (not Program Files).
- Run
start-tab-overlay.ps1and accept the UAC prompt. The release bundles the patched RockSniffer backend, so you don't need a separate RockSniffer install. - Start Rocksmith, pick a song and arrangement, and play.
Controls F layout edit (move/resize/opacity) · F4 bars per row · F5/F6 notation size · F7 two-row/scroll · F8 hide.
Honest limitations
- It renders the authored max-difficulty chart; it doesn't mirror Rocksmith's dynamic-difficulty omissions.
- Rocksmith exposes aggregate hit/miss counters, not per-note judgments, so miss highlighting is best-effort.
- Some per-string techniques inside complex chords (harmonics, palm mutes) still need more decoding work.
- Exclusive fullscreen is not supported. Use borderless/windowed.
- I've tested it on a 3440×1440 ultrawide at 150% scaling and 144 Hz, plus 1080p. It should adapt to other resolutions and refresh rates, but more testers are welcome. Very high refresh rates cost more GPU/CPU because WPF repaints every composition frame; if 240 Hz feels heavy, run 120/144 Hz and the TAB speed stays the same.
- CDLC: it reads the chart from the
.psarc, so it should work with CDLC too, but I haven't tested every custom. If a chart uses non-standard notation, some techniques may not render correctly.

If something doesn't work, run diagnose-overlay-window.ps1 and attach window-diagnostic.json; it records the window/DPI info I need to debug. Bug reports and feature ideas are very welcome.
It's MIT licensed. It doesn't ship game assets or charts; it reads them from your own installation. Rocksmith 2014 is owned by Ubisoft; this is an unofficial fan tool.

Custom Songs I went from Beginner to Advanced player in 2 years with this weekly RS2014 challenge!
I started as a Beginner two years ago and can play Advanced songs now, all thanks to a weekly challenge on the forge that's been running for 13 years. Every week about 20 of us play the same new songs and compete on accuracy. It's friendly and laid back, and it really does help you improve!
Anyone's welcome to join, especially beginners and intermediate players since a lot of us have leveled up recently we need more players to keep those classes competitive. New season started recently and the new Halloween themed week (Week 679) started today!
To join: grab this week's songs from the forum thread, play them on Score Attack (Hard) or Learn a Song with every section maxed, then post a screenshot showing your accuracy % and streak as a new reply before Saturday. Post as many tries as you like; your best one counts.
See you on the scoreboard! https://customsforge.com/topic/81491-rocksmith-2014-championship-week-679-haunted-riffs-halloween-hits-monster-grooves-supernatural-shredding-%F0%9F%8E%83/

Edit: Big thanks to all of you who have come say hi so far, if you see this later on you're still welcome to join!

Custom Songs SmithShelf: a Rocksmith library manager for mac
Hey everyone! We mac users tend to get the short end of the stick in the Rocksmith world. So here's SmithShelf, a mac app (signed and notarized) that works by simply moving files between the dlc folder and a dummy folder. It's helped me immensely in cleaning up my Rocksmith in-game experience and helping with load speeds.
- Dual Views: Album art vinyl grid + dense sortable spreadsheet table.
- Curated Playlists & Setlists: Group songs into custom setlists and isolate them in Rocksmith with one click
- Collector Notes & Tags: Add custom practice notes, tuning reminders, and hashtags.
More mac apps coming soon! (including a DLC editor)

Wiitar thing help
So I’ve never had this problem before, but now all of a sudden if I don’t hold my guitar in the perfect spot, perfect positioning, the inputs don’t work correctly until I move it back to that spot and positioning. On wiitar it flashes between guitar and “falsestate” whatever that means. Not sure why this is happening after playing all these years without problems. But now it’s nearly impossible to play. I haven’t changed anything, everything is the exact same as it has been for the last 4 years. Any help is appreciated.

RS+ 🔥Incubus in Rocksmith+ Morning View, one of the most atmospheric rock records of the early 2000s, is here. Eight tracks of Brandon Boyd's unmistakable vocals, Mike Einziger's fluid guitar work, and that signature blend of rock, groove, and introspection.

Solved Rocksmith+ forces Positive Grid Riff to 44100 instead of 48000 Hz
Hi
I have a problem with Rocksmith+ and my Positive Grid Riff. Whenever I launch the game, the Positive Grid Control Panel shows the sample rate as 44100 Hz instead of 48000 Hz.
Sometimes, after changing the ASIO buffer size a few times, it finally switches to 48000 and stays there until I close the game. When that happens everything works fine. But it’s random and kind of annoying to do this many times every time I want to play.
What makes it weird is that with Rocksmith 2014 with RS ASIO, using the same interface, I don’t have this issue at all. It runs at 48000 Hz right away.
Does anyone know a how to fix this?

Working RS_ASIO fix for Positive Grid Spark 2 / Spark 40 (and any other 44100 Hz-locked ASIO interface) in Rocksmith 2014
Ey chics!
Rocksmith 2014 requires audio interfaces to run at 48000 Hz, which breaks compatibility with USB amps and interfaces whose ASIO drivers are locked at 44100 Hz (like the Positive Grid Spark 2 and Spark 40 on newer firmware).
I made a fork of RS_ASIO that adds automatic real-time resampling from 44100 Hz to 48000 Hz directly inside RS_ASIO. If an ASIO driver rejects 48000 Hz, it falls back to 44100 Hz and resamples the stream on the fly so Rocksmith gets the 48000 Hz audio it expects with accurate pitch detection.
I guess it works with any 44100 Hz-locked ASIO interface, and it comes preconfigured for the Positive Grid Spark 2 (set to 128 samples in the Windows ASIO driver, with all amp/effect blocks turned off in the Spark app for a clean DI signal).
GitHub repo and instructions (precompiled build is in the Releases section):
https://github.com/jcruizsebastian/rocksmith-asio-rs_asio-for-spark-2-at-44100hz-128-samples
Hope someone finds this useful!
