This is the machine Rick C-137 built in S07E05 to find Rick Prime. So did he just teared multiple more rifts into the Central Finite Curve like Evil Morty's escape did? Because these rifts or portals look exactly like that.

Seriously! The animation was already pretty good but s9 really took it to another level. Forgive the glazing but I just had to talk about how awesome it looks!

Weird Rick is actually Rick C-131.
I honestly don't understand why this is still being debated. If Rick Prime's information existed in the Citadel of Ricks, shouldn't Evil Morty have recognized him immediately upon first sight? Not only that, but trillions of Ricks—including the Council—would have all hunted down Rick Prime, keeping in mind that everyone's shared trauma is the erasure of Diane.
On the other hand, the probability of this person being C-131 is much higher because right before leaving the house, C-131 tells little Beth that he is going to work. Right before that, he's packing a bag... meaning...
Rick Prime comes from the root universe of the multiverse, and before inventing portal technology, universes C-1 through C-131 likely died out from entropy. If we consider that the letter "C" prefixed to universes stands for "Concept," C-131 is conceptually closer to Rick Prime in the root universe than any other Rick. To elaborate on this "Concept" suffix: during the brief time we see him on screen, C-131 treats Morty nicely, saying "please" when asking for a screwdriver. After getting it, he smiles and counts down backwards from 1, creating a playfully tense atmosphere. And if you
remember, in the memories of child Beth and alien child Beth, C-131 was a flawless father. So, conceptually, C-131 is the "Good and Kind" version of Rick Prime.
This means that while C-131 was distributing the Portal Guns, he was simultaneously eliminating the Ricks who refused the offer, right under Rick Prime's orders. This alone is reason enough for him to be known as Weird Rick.
Just imagine: a sci-fi outfitted, uniquely-haired, slightly bored guy suddenly shows up and kills you. Considering the Citadel hadn't even been established back then, this must have turned into a myth spread purely by word of mouth, which is honestly... wild.
In short, even if Rick Prime invented the portal gun, C-131 was the one who popularized it in the field, ironed out the friction, and took the fall for all the blame.
NOTE: Eeerrrmmm... I think the title says a lot, I apologize and Sorry for the scattered explanation 😔🙏
By the way, I forgot to mention this, but this is probably a fun theory; I was just trying to fill in the gaps on a large scale. Unfortunately, C-131 was easily wasted in the series, and we saw very little about him, but he's a character I liked.

Basically who's developed/changed the best and most up until this point in the series/how do they compare now tk what they were before? And who still needs more work?

Rick would be proud

There is actually quite a long list of kissing moments throughout the series but Rick asking Morty to “give grandpa a kiss” after he is proud of his consumer habits - and Jerry sneaking off to Jerryboree to try and kiss another Jerry out of curiosity post Beth’s hooking up - are my favorite ones based in comedy. Memory Rick and Memory Diane making out is my favorite non-comedic kissing moment in the series. These are the things I think about instead of working effectively in my IRL job.

Rewatching the first season and I completely forgot how much of a hunchback Rick was. That detail really fades away as the show goes on.

Haunted Hotel has a very similar vibe to Rick and Morty, and is directed by a writer from the show. They just released season 2 on Netflix, and if you have not already seen it you need to!

This is my gender bent Rick or 'Rita'. Im really proud because this is my first time modifying patterns and improvising instead of following them exactly. I think it turned out okay. I've got a Morticia and a portal gun for her in the works too hehe

I always liked to imagine all non canon shorts and other videos were just happening in another universe like the
R&M anime or the random youtube specials etc etc
Because if it's truly infinite anything can happen right?

Why’d Rick turn himself in? Is it meant to represent him loving the family enough to give himself up? Big leap, especially since we don’t fully get a payoff until unmortricken.

I don’t know if anyone has noticed but Rick and Morty leave so much “what ifs” and cliffhangers in rick and morty to the point where they can create infinite episodes without it feeling like beating a dead horse like with family guy and greys anatomy. They even left evil morty alive to bring back. They could do more episodes with bird person or any other character who we love. Exceptional writing if you ask me
