I’m not getting responses or interviews back when i’ve applied to at least 15 jobs by now. Im wondering if the format isn’t professional or if skills listed aren’t attracting. I am a Highschool Student looking to work in retail or fast food, but haven’t gotten hired yet. Im applying to jobs in the Bay Area, but most stores aren’t hiring in cities

Have been getting some traction recently but always looking for input.

Not looking for "it's too long". All of the pertinent information is on two pages, the third page is just for ATS keywords. Multiple recruiters have told me for my level of seniority two pages is fine.

Hi everyone I'm really struggling to figure out what to .

To start off I've never had a job before nor do I have any connections help me look for one.

It's dream to one day become a chef so for the last few months I've been applying to local restaurants for positions like dishwasher or kitchen helper but I've not heard back from anywhere, I did have 1 interview but that was only because that place was having an event where you could just walk in get an interview I've not heard back from them either.

I don't really have a way with words so I kept my resume simple I also couldn't think of any skills I've got so I just put some random stuff that popped in my head.

For the volunteering mentioned It's not started yet but I do have orientation later this week it's not specified what exactly I'm doing but I think I'll either be doing something in a warehouse or kitchen.

I'm really not sure on what to improve I've asked for advice from one person if there was anything I could change but all they said was that it looked good and gave no pointer.

General/Other Industries [1 year, Manager at Amazon, Entry Level Analyst, California] Cant land interviews out of college

Just graduated a T20 school with a undergrad in econ. I think the main issue is that I have scattered experience but I am applying to entry level positions I should be qualified for. Currently struggling to land an interview. Was apart of a consulting club, did research at the school and had an internship. Any advice on why my resume is not working out? Thanks

I am quitting after a year and a half. I’ve mostly worked in the food/restaurant industry before this line of work which I do NOT want to go back to. I just want to get a simple receptionist job while I go back to college and finish up my degree.

What should I put on my resume? I was honestly even considering lying about having a self-employed cleaning business and having former clients vouch for me as a reference. I have no idea. Please help.

  • Tell us more than "what's wrong with my resume" or "help not getting interviews". Honestly I have no idea, I had a remote job a while ago but I had to let it go cause I couldn't work from anywhere, I was stuck with a big computer at home, I am targeting a job that you could work only with a laptop / phone.
  • What positions/roles/industries are you targeting? I am targeting any remote jobs at this point that let me work from anywhere, I am travelling every 2 weeks in the UK and I need a job that I can work from anywhere only with my phone / laptop.
  • Where are you located and what locations are you applying to jobs in? Romania, UK, USA, France, Germany etc.
  • Are you only applying to local jobs? Remote only? Are you willing to relocate? Romania has a low number of remote jobs sadly but I applied to a lot of them, I am not willing to relocate.
  • Tell us about your background and current employment situation. I am unemployed.
  • Tell us about your job-hunting situation and challenges you've encountered. I get no responses or when I get a response they just email me saying "We decided to go with other canditates"
  • Tell us why you're seeking help. (i.e., just fine-tuning, not getting called back for interviews, etc.) I am seeking help with my entire resume, I do not know what companies look for in a remote seeking person's resume.
  • Is there a particular section on your resume you'd like feedback on? Mostly all of them but anything is welcomed.
  • Is your citizenship status and visa situation playing a role in your job search? Not really.

PS: I am actually looking for any jobs, from graphic design to being someone's assistant in constructions haha, anything that does not require a degree.

Target: full-time entry-level office/operations roles such as Operations Associate, Administrative Coordinator. Scheduling Specialist, banking/teller. I have a M.S. in Mathematics and university teaching/office experience, but I'm not getting any interviews. I'd like feedback specifically on whether my resume is positioning me poorly for these roles or making me appear overqualified.

I was laid off a month ago and have been applying to hundreds of jobs over the last couple years with 0 interviews. I'm hoping my PMP certification will help me get more interviews now, but nothing yet.

I'm targeting any industry, but I've previously worked in consulting for the utility industry and some manufacturing.

I'm located in southern Washington, United States, and I'm hoping for remote, but willing to take anything. Targeting either a Project Manager or Program Manager role that pays $120,000+.

I've used Claude on some resume wording, but 90% of it is written by me. I've also had Claude help with ATS scan checks and that never seems to be an issue.

I'm looking for feedback in any way, shape, or form, but basically I just want to get interviews. Please help 🙏

I'm really stuck on what to put in my resume. I graduated from high school in 2021 and couldn't work (my mom had a medical emergency not long after and I've been taking care of her) but my dad retired earlier this year and I've been trying to find a job. I know everyone says to put down things you've done in school if you don't have experience, but I don't remember much from then

Resume critique - career changer, 5y exp former math teacher trying to transition into an office role, preferably actuarial but data analysis or underwriting are also acceptable. I have only landed a single interview in about three full months, and was wondering if people think the resume might be the issue here.

Good Evening Everyone! After hundreds of applications in the last 2 months and not getting a single response, I’m hoping for some guidance on Reddit. I’ve been struggling to find jobs in the field I would LIKE to go into and I’m just trying/ searching for the main reason why.

While I understand lacking a degree can play its part, I have translatable experiences I can offer to employers, but I’m struggling to get that across in my resume.

If I could get some advice or guidance on how I could improve my resume or even different fields I could approach, it be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance (and please be as honest as possible)

General/Other Industries [0 YoE, Recent Graduate, Economics and Management, Europe]

Hi all and happy weekend!
I've finally finished my Master's too and, after a break, I'm redoing my CV. I'd mostly apply to economics, institutional and management roles in the EU. So I'm here to ask for your opinions on a few points.

Layout

  • For the contact line, should I use a different icon for each item, or just one separator?
  • The icons are now text characters, before they were cropped images. Which is better for ATS and automated scans?
  • Should I keep the section titles black or make them blue or bordeaux?
  • Should I keep the hyperlink on my email too?

Experience

  • Should I list every task I did, or remove the less useful ones to leave room for the others? Some people tell me "include everything if you don't have much experience", others the opposite. Since I'm applying abroad, I'd like to show that I've worked in different languages several times.
  • I was a "Junior Project Manager" in a student association (a Junior Enterprise) for the first semester, and in the second one you become "Senior". Should I specify that it was a student association?

Education

  • I have a double degree: one year in one country, one year in another, with a thesis supervised by professors from both universities. At the host university I attended the Master's in "Political Economy", but the degree awarded is in "Public Economics and Public Finance". Should I list them as two separate entries, each with its own dates, or as a single entry with the programme name?

Sorry for the long post, I hope I was clear enough.
Thanks in advance to anyone who stops by to give advice and have a great weekend :)

Hi everybody. I'm starting to apply for some entry level roles in USA. I would like a review of my resume in general; does it look good? do you think the previous experience would make me 'overqualified'? what about the two pages? should I strip something off so it fits one page only?

ps.: I'm from Brazil.

Thanks in advance!

I recently reworked my resume to make it more ATS-friendly and fit on one page instead of two. I'm currently employed but looking to move into museum work; I'm also open to higher ed roles. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions on how to improve my resume further?

I’ve been job hunting pretty aggressively and I’m starting to wonder if there’s something about my resume that’s working against me.

I’m mostly applying to operations, administrative support, coordinator, client support, and similar roles. I’ve been trying to tailor it to each posting without completely rewriting my actual experience or stuffing it with keywords that don’t really apply.

I don’t have a bachelor’s, but I do have an associate degree and several years of experience across operations, account support, admin, customer-facing work, and some QA/inventory work.

I’ve gotten a few interviews, so I know the resume isn’t completely dead, but I’ve also gotten a ton of rejections lately, including for jobs I thought I matched pretty well.

Would really appreciate honest feedback. Is anything confusing, weak, too wordy, too generic, or making me look less qualified than I actually am? I’m especially curious how it reads at a quick glance from a recruiter/hiring manager perspective.

I redacted identifying info, but otherwise this is basically what I’m submitting.

hey. first serious resume in a while. trying for anything project management or coordinator or anything like that. in tristate of, usa, applying around the area. want to get out of my deli! want to see if im on the right track. tweaked position titles well i think, but still feel it sucks that custodial is most recent position (outside of deli). should i write the word "intern" next to my training specialist position, since it was an internship ,or no because then its weird that i went from an internship to a custodial position?

Hi all, I'm a 12th grade high school student trying to get my first job. This is my third shot of a resume I made using my cities Resume Builder. I think my resume might be a little too robotic and vague, and I'm not sure if I should mention my languages and refrences on it. I've been applying since around March/April this year and so far no luck. All I want is any minimum wage part-time job I can get, I've applied to every single local McDonald's, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, grocery store's and busboy positions. I really need a job to save money so I can go to college next year.

All I have is volunteer experience, and other than the two I mentioned on my resume, I also volunteered with my local humane society a handful of times. It's hard to even get a volunteer opportunity in my city, let alone a job, becoming a volunteer at the ReStore was the best I could get, especially since it's given me cashier experience. Anyhow, I'm just looking for any advice I can get.

General/Other Industries [6 Years, Unemployed, Inventory Coordinator, United States]

I have a couple issues I'm having with my resume.

I'd love some feedback on the summary. The job is inventory for a hospital, but not sure if adding "Seeking to transition into a career within the healthcare environment" is the right call. And I feel it could be trimmed a bit.

And going to change work experience to "Relevant Experience", if the general consensus is that it's better. But I have some gaps in work history for various reasons. At the start of 2020, I started selling insurance, but was let go because I overall wasn't great at the job, kind of hated it, and the pandemic didn't help make sales. Moved back home and did some under the table work at a restaurant. Got a job on a production line for about 3 months, that I left everyday so extremely stiff I could barely move. Left that for a WFH call center job that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Fell into the manager position, then left the USPS, and got certified for a job that I basically have since gotten screwed out of.

I'm struggling to make the gap in experience look decent in my eyes. I have a lot of the skills needed for the Inventory position, but I'm worried the gap looks too suspicious.

I've been reading through the subreddit, and I know I need to add more quantifiable information, and I'm going to work on that. But any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Any advice for transitioning from hospitality to a receptionist/ admin or even production assistant role?

I just quit my job 3 months ago that was over working me and would like to transition to a job with more structured hours so that I can schedule my next moves and work on my art portfolio. I know for a fact that I could do any filing job no problem and I’m very personable so I know I could ace any interview but I haven’t even gotten one call back.

PA positions would be great if anyone has experience in film and tv. Right now I just need income. I’ll leave more explanation of the jobs below.

I was a host, server and coach for the actives for customers at the bar (being vague because it’s easily searchable if I say what the activities are.) I was offered a promotion to sales assistant but the position was eliminated and I probably would have been promoted to a manager if I had stayed. We used several different pos’ while I was there.

I wrote lesson plans for the summer camp and it’s very prestigious in my area.

The art college and animation studio collaboration was technically for a class but I am credited as lead background on that film. I was the head of the team and would lead in group discussions about things that needed to be done and changed.

I know people don’t want to be reminded of Covid so I plan on taking that out for sure. I really don’t know how to make that sound more professional though. I’ve work for many high profile people in my community and often going to their homes. I don’t know if that can be stated in anyway
