Troubleshooting Support failure problem

Hello! So I've started having this problem.

I've not done anything different to usual just sliced the pre supported files (known good and used many time files), exported to UV tools and changed rest time before cure to 30s for first 20 layers. I've gotten the exact same failure pattern twice in a row. Printing temp between 21-27 degrees c

Any ideas?

Gloves and Screenshoot police can team up on your case.

3 usual culprits:

  1. Change Fep.

  2. Plate Leveling.

  3. Bottom Layers / Transition layers vs raft thickness.

Going to play with no.3.

fep has just been changed but I did tighten it up a fair old bit (although many success since)

Could levelling still be an issue here since the raft layers are printing fine?

Cheers for the response

If it was just changed it's most likely 1. I had the same issue after swapping mine. It's near impossible to tighten it as the factory does, causing separation issues. Double the lift distance and try again

30s wait before cure? But why?

On the Saturn 4u there's a self leveling mechanism that consists of some springiness of the bed. If the raft layer is particularly busy then it takes a while for the resin to squeeze out when dunking the bed and the pressure causes it to expose before the bed has fully lowered which gives you huge raft layers. I like packing the build plate so do this

Current theory is that there's a massive Stepdown in exposure right as it switches from raft to support. Going to extent the transition layers past the raft?
