I want to open a keyboard strictly for emojis when user presses a button, for both android and ios. The default behaviour is that a normal word keyboard opens.

That’s not an emoji library. That’s a keyboard input feature. I don’t know if you can trigger the emoji keyboard on native devices via react native but you could build/incorporate your own picker.

Emoji are just text characters, nothing special is needed to display them. Unless you want custom ones, then that gets… complex.

just use them? ig there a apps to find emojis but you don't need anytime special in react.

there are emoji picker libs if you want a picker ui, but for just showing them a plain text with the character works fine. the only gotcha is android rendering older emoji differently by os version.

ohh they ment a emoji picker ui. this "react-native-emoji-picker" can be good.
