I know this is in no way “news” but this is the first time I think he’s had a beard publicly and I thought other fans would like to see! He somehow looks completely different and exactly the same 😂😂

Hmmm...It's weird because in the W series (I think, not sure?), Alan specifically mentioned that he's never had a beard, except for one time he grew it for a part. I might be misremembering that, but he's never had a beard in any of the QI series thus far. And yes, this is basically a scraggly stubbly mess o'hair.

We saw him at Walthamstow this weekend, and I never noticed the beard at all, although he was wearing that shirt. (We were up in the circle)

Edit: Just asked my wife, and she didn't notice it either.
