Im questioning my sexual identity for a bit of background info I was born a female and im from a more Christian type of family who (most) HATE different(AKA gender or if you're mlm or wlw). I grew up around the female side of my family and at a young age I experienced a lot of questioning/queer media and how growing up different is okay but lately ive found myself wanting to be a boy.
I'm not really sure how to describe it but im okay with being a girl, but i also get a sense of joy when people i meet online mistaken me for a boy before finding out im a girl. Another incident was when my sister sent a picture and my hand was in frame, her friend said "why are you with a boy?" Just based off my hand and I kind of took it as a compliment.
I dont mind how I am currently but I am self conscious about a lot of things(my looks especially). Im just confused of where I land, I dont think im trans but I also dont know many of the other gender identities. If someone has an answer, I would love to hear it!

you could be a trans boy! other gender labels i'd recommend looking into would be these ones, and remember you can always use multiple labels or be entirely unlabelled!
(note: i can't say for certain whether or not you're trans (only you can know that), but i will say that cis people don't get a happy rush from being mistaken for another gender (that happiness you feel is called 'gender euphoria' by the way), so it's more likely than not! you don't have to have dysphoria or be repulsed by your original gender in order to be trans, you can just have preferences for he/him even if you don't mind being called she/her! if you think being mistaken for a boy feels right, maybe it's not a mistake - maybe you are a boy, or at least someone who isn't cis! ^w^)
- demiboy (<- partially feeling like a boy! there's also demigirl, so if you feel partially like a girl but mostly something else, you could call yourself that if you want (eg. a trans boy who's also a demigirl) <3)
- bigender (identifying as 2 genders! eg. you might identify as a boy and a girl!)
- pangender (all the genders.... all the genders!!! >:3c /sillyyyy)
- transmasc (not necessarily a trans boy, but an umbrella term for identifying with masculinity in general! it's a bit more of a vague/broad label if you don't feel demiboy or trans boy would fit (or even if you do! trans boys come under the transmasc umbrella, and demiboys do too!) :3)
- non-binary (identifying as something outside of being strictly male or female - maybe you feel in the middle of the two genders, or maybe something else completely outside of them!)
- genderfluid (fluidity with your gender! you might feel like you're a boy one day, and a girl the next, bigender another, non-binary another - there can be hours, days, months, years, etc. between gender shifts, and you can shift between any number of genders! basically if your gender feels like it isn't set in stone :3)
- genderfaun (genderfluid, but only between masc and neutral genders, never feminine ones! little bit nicher, but not massively :3)
- genderfloy (this is a microlabel that's barely known about, but it's basically genderfaun except you sometimes do feel fem-aligned, just that it's rare! it's a really nice microlabel, but just be aware that if you use it, you might have to explain what it means to ppl :3)
- boyflux (you feel like a boy, but the... percentage? of boy you feel fluctuates over time!)
(if you're confused by any of these labels, def look into them through videos/wikipedias!)
something else important to know is that when it comes to pronouns, you don't have to stick to just one set! it's not 'i either use he/him or she/her' - you could use a mixture, eg. he/she (where you want people to call you by both he/him and she/her - "have you seen her around recently? i heard he's been making cupcakes!"), he/they, he/she/they, etc.! sometimes, if you have a preference, you might put your pronouns in order of which you most like to be referred to (eg. if you prefer they/them over he/him, you might write they/he as your pronouns) - but that's entirely optional! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
also, pronouns don't equal gender! you can identify as a girl and use he/him, as a boy and use they/them, or as non-binary and use she/her! literally as long as you're happy, then you be happy!!!! >:3333
good luck!!!!!! <3333
