Are you guys tired of the Coheed and Cambria references ? I sure am.
Other than that, I just need to say that A Death Marked Dream has been my wake-up song for a couple months now! Great way to wake up on acoustic guitars, and then keep on rockin' through breakfast ! Haha!

When are you guys going to release more shirts? I ordered the Citadels bundle with the shirt and poster, and was bummed out when the shirts didn't happen.

Hey guys, I've been rockin' Citadels all summer and I'm loving it. The verse riff in Ancient Arrows is such an awesome groove. My question is: how did you come up with the name 'Mandroid Echostar' for the band?
Edit: Had no idea you guys were from Ontario, come to Ottawa sometime and let's party!

We've been there its a lovely town!!
It's not a particularly interesting story, just a sci-fi pseudonym. When we first started, before Cheech joined we were kinda a straight up tech-death band with lots of space-inspired lyrics and stuff, it was really appropriate then, and we just kept it because we like it haha -Jim

best: getting to hang out with your best friends and doing something you love. Meeting awesome people.
Worst:Being poor lol, sacrificing all social life outside of music. It's brutal sometimes but totally worth it

There is absolutely plans to tour the US!!! We have been trying to get over there for a while now but nothing has worked out. But in the new year we are going to bust our ass and come on over!!!

Am I imagining things, or are there a serious amount of Legend of Zelda references throughout Citadels? I can't help but think that the "look to the moon" lyric at the start of Haunted Vows sounds an awful lot like Majora's Mask.

Winner!!! You are 100% correct on that reference. Our drummer Matt writes most of the lyrics and he is a HUGE Legend of Zelda fan.
Although the game really has nothing to do with the story, it was just a cool reference.

First off, you guys are fucking awesome! Your first ep sat in my library for a while, but when it finally clicked with me I was enthralled. Then citadels came out and I swear I was one of the first to get it.
So, my question.
Is there an overarching story for either/both of your ep’s? I definitely feel like your first ep could have been the exposition to a story, but then citadels threw me for a loop. Were there originally plans to make a story that you then scrapped? Thanks for reading!

They are actually two separate stories between both records, we are all big fans of the concept record and always have a story going, but they will always be separate stories between records!

How did you feel starting out? Was it hard getting your name out there and playing shows close to home, or did you have to travel a lot?
What band(s) would you like to open for?
How do you feel about kijiji and other networks musicians use?

It's always hard for a band to get started. We've all been in plenty of bands before this, but I can't really comment on the kijiji thing (other than selling guitars lol) because we were really lucky to kind of come together organically. And romantically.
