Anyone here get into the spring 2027 program? At orientation a couple days ago, they said they'd email us onboarding instructions but I feel like that's a short window to get all our immunizations done by December 7th. I don't remember when they said we needed our bls certification either

This might sound like a stupid question but I've never used a resume for anything other than getting a job, do I just use my normal resume to apply for a CNA training program or do I leave out my current work and work history, I honestly have no idea any tips is helpful thank you

I'm a biochem grad and former organic chemistry TA, now looking into nursing, and I spent HOURS going school by school trying to figure out if I actually qualify, and every program words its prereqs differently.
I got fed up and built a free platform and I think this could help many others in a similar situation.
It shows which of 73 NY programs you meet the prereqs for, which ones are 1-2 classes away, and classes to take that would open up more programs. Every school card links straight to its own prereq page so you can double-check in one click. It only checks prereqs, not GPA nor TEAS. Currently I only have programs in New York, but I am looking to see if this is something people actually like or not before investing more time into this.
Disclaimer: It's not perfect and It's not a product. It's completely free to use, and I plan on keeping it that way. We have a shortage of healthcare workers and students shouldn't be intimidated by the countless hours it takes to research nursing programs.

What would help me the most
Was it confusing? Are there features I should add to the site?
Did I get anything wrong about a school?
What states would you like next?

i feel so hopeless and anxious ALL THE TIME (and it’s been 2 years of this)! i don’t know what are “good enough” stats anymore and i’m still worried even though i’ve already submitted my applications for this upcoming spring.
im just waiting for sjsu right now. i literally wish i could see into the future and get it over with.
idk it’s been weighing on my mind and im not sure how to cope for 3 weeks. 🥹

i took the nln nex exam and i got an ok score but i dont think its enough for me for my nursing school, how should i improve my score and what should I mainly focus on when studying again?

I just looked at my results for the teas that I took today…I got a 79.3 :((( Thought I had done better tbh.
Was wondering if anyone was willing to share their scores to gauge my chances of having a shot at getting in. Think I’m a lost cause now tho.

This is probably a controversial question but A&P2 is consuming my life and kicking my ass. Is micro a little “less time consuming?” I actually enjoy learning the concepts but I don’t have time to chill for a half day before moving onto the next chapter right after an exam!!

For those who did go private in Cali and have 100k+ in debt. If you’re comfortable how much do you pay a month for expected how long ?

Background: I was in a nursing program before, got to the very end, and unfortunately didn't graduate, so now I'm starting over.
In the old program, we didn't need to do any CNA stuff beforehand, so I don't know much about it, except that I did it during those very long clinical days, so I have at least some experience.
The new program needs it to apply, and I'm
limited on time, so an 8/12-week in-person class thing isn't really doable, and that's all I've really found on it?
I'm in MN and just want to study, take the exam, and skip everything else. I've found a few books to review and practice material to look at beforehand. I'm wondering if anyone else has done this or has any experience or input on the subject?

Hi I am looking to see if there is anyone on here that can give me some info regarding the school. I see that it is a religious school. Do you have to be that certain religion to apply. I noticed that part of their application process asks for a personal statement regarding god.
"Describe how you came to know Christ, your growing walk and relationship with Him, and how your church and ministry activities shape your daily life while strengthening the Vanguard community."
Im still waiting to hear back from CC. But just looking at other options.

i wanted to transfer from cc to sdsu nursing, my cumulative gpa is 3.9, prereq gpa is 3.75 (1 B in chem), teas is 86%, i should be finishing my 100 hours of work as a CNA before the deadline, and im a local. My total points seems so low, does anyone else feel this way or has anyone even got in with similar stats? i’m not sure what to do now because it kinda feels like all hope is lost.

Hello, I currently have a full ride scholarship on a non nursing major should I continue or switch over to bsn? I really don't enjoy my field of study anymore. I have two years left of my degree should I just go absn route or bsn? Im almost done with the pre qus.

I’m 30 and I left my leadership role at a nonprofit (housing equity) in Denver where I was making $90k a year working from home, to get into nursing. I’m married and have had multiple knee surgeries from sports injuries over the years(can my knees handle it as a nurse?). Did I make the right decision? Should I get into something else in healthcare like RT? I love having weekends and holidays off btw
I start my pre reqs in Spring 2027… oh and I have a BS in Human Development but none of the pre reqs needed for a BSN - RN transfer over. Should be a two year program… maybe two and a half years. Wrapping up a CNA course in a week and hope to get a job at a LTC facility while I’m in school. I hate the bureaucracy in housing nonprofits but I loved advocating for others. Essentially was pushed out of my job because I’m not a yes maam and “say things just to stir the pot.” The additional info isn’t that important but might help you flag things for me!

I’m taking prereqs on Portage Learning and I’m not having problems being successful, I just feel like A&P honestly consumes 2-3x more time than any of the other prereqs (microbiology, chemistry, OChem, nutrition, dev psych…)
Wondering if this is a consistent experience across schools? Or is this a Portage thing? Are there people doing their prereqs on portage who don’t have the same experience?

I currently work full time and am looking into completing prerequisites for an ABSN program but idk how people do it while working full time! I’ll have to take about 8 credits at all times to complete them by my timeline, and work is becoming increasingly demanding. Also because the classes have to be in person, with commute added to classes and in between work, I’ll be working 8am-5pm and in class 5pm-10pm or 8pm every single day of the week. How do people not burn out or maintain a good GPA while doing this? I did a masters while working last year (in tech) and even that didn’t feel as daunting as this!!
Am I crazy to quit and do prerequisites full time to give it my all, especially if I keep working while doing classes I have no idea when I’ll have time to stack on volunteer hours?

I was recently accepted into both John Hopkins direct entry MSN and Creighton's (phoenix) ABSN. I received some money from John Hopkins so tuition to both schools would be fairly similar. I would also need to relocate for both programs. I am wondering if anyone has any information or insight they would like to share about either school. How do they prepare you for your career after starting? I am interested in possible becoming an NP at some point. Do I need to be worried about safety around the John Hopkins campus? really any advice or information would be greatly appreciated? even if it is just about the areas of both schools or direct MSN and ABSN programs in general.

Good morning,
wondering if any one has transferred from one CSU to another CSU for nursing and if your pre requisites transferred even if they were a little different. Example csu i currently attend requires gen chem for nursing but the one i’m applying to transfer to requires o chem. id really like to avoid taking ochem if i can
