Unpopular opinion: mashed potatoes absolutely suck any other type of potatoe is great ๐
It isnt a flavor problem though, Its texture feels like someone has already chewed up a baked potato and im being fed like a baby bird

What about using it as dip?

Do you have a mashed potato dip recipe by chance? I kind of like that idea

Like with lots of heavy cream chives and garlic salt used to dip Fritos? Or creamy mushroom mixed with mashed potatoes dipped with spicy chips.

the texture comparison is killing me. i feel like mashes potatoes are only good when they're creamy and buttery, because if they're too thick or gluey, i get the same feeling. fries and roasted potatoes win every time.

If youโre eating mashed potatoes that are thick and gluey then somebody obviously screwed up seriously when they were making them. I think anyone would get that โickโ texture feeling if theyโre mashed potatoes were thick or gluey.

This is how I feel about scalloped potatoes. Eww. Love all other kinds of potatoes.

If you don't like mashed potatoes then why do you have such delicious looking photos of them. Huh?
