Incoming My first two postcards came in the mail! I’m very excited.
The one on the left is from Sweden, the one on the right is from Illinois (but purchased in China)

Please use this thread to seek your collection exchanges in order to avoid crowding the main feed. Pictures in the comments should be allowed and working for everyone. Keep it to one main comment per person to keep the thread orderly.
Any further posts on this topic will be removed and redirected here.
PS: Thank you to the person who suggested it. Not sure how megathreads work, but we'll give it a try.
Please use modmail for suggestions.

Hello guys!
The "let's get ready!" WPD blog post is out! It has hopefully all the answers about how the WPD works, so if anyone asks, you can send them right to the blog.
What was already mentioned before is that this year, you can only send up to 5 postcards on October 1st. This is so that everyone has a chance to send some postcards and the system does not run out of suitable addresses.
The Postcard Lounge will also be open again! You can come and write postcards with us on a call, or just watch the livestream on YouTube.
Have a nice weekend and happy Postcrossing!

I have a pride flag with the word "ally" next to it in my description. My thinking behind it was that Postcrossing reaches areas of the world where being LGBTQIA+ is much less accepted than it is here in the west and could provide a sense of safety or camaraderie to those that don't have it.
I've also noticed a lot of much older Christian people on the site and want to know if this could lead to any trouble/difficulties?
I want to keep it there because I'm unwavering in my values, but interested to hear if anyone else has experience doing something like this.
Thanks.

Sadly the mailwoman comes usually only once a week these days, so I get them all at once, but these were todays cards. Such a nice mix 🥰 From the Czech Republic, Finland, Scotland (GB), USA and Poland.
The Christmas card also had some nice Christmas stickers on it and the Matrix one some great GOT stamps😁

I love crafting my own cards - mostly with stamps from all over the world! I now finished a new big batch of them. Those will be enough to last for years to be sent out :)
Would you like to receive such a handmade card?
**EDIT** Thank you for the lovely comments! I did not expect this in just a couple of minutes. If you like to swap for one, please send me a dm with your postcrossing name, so I can check your profile and pick a matching one for you :) I am not online every day, so replying could take a bit, please be patient.

I got such a cool mix of countries this time! And SO close to being all sequential IDs. Someone else drew a card right in the middle of my requesting spree 😂

All my slots used up now.
In no particular order, Poland, Finland, USA, Belarus and 2 times Germany.
The "stroopwafel" one has the recipe to make them on the back, had to write tiny😅

Hi everyone!
I'm already using Postcrossing, and I really enjoy sending postcards to people around the world. However, I've reached the limit of how many postcards I can have travelling at once, so I was wondering how people manage to send a lot more postcards!
Do you use other websites, arrange direct swaps, or participate in other postcard exchange communities? Are there any ways to send more postcards while waiting for your current ones to arrive?
I'd love to hear about your experiences and any recommendations you might have!
Thanks in advance! :)

Hello, I've just had my first expired card - from me in the USA to someone in Russia. Not sure what I need to do, if anything.
I have seen other people write them in their bios, but I don't know if that's sending or receiving.

Found out that you can print on envelopes. I do recommend testing with just a piece of paper and drawing where you pet it in and what the top and bottom is.

The title isn't quite covering what I mean. Do people like it when you decorate a card, or when you craft a card (for example one that folds out like for a scrapbook). I want to put time and a bit of creativity in cards I sent, so what's your experience in people liking and or not liking crafted cards?

Hey everyone! I am having trouble deciding if the id number on my recently received postcard is CA 1732673 or CA 1732643 or maybe something different. Anyone have an opinion?

I'm starting on making Christmas cards! DM your address and favorite Christmas figure, decoration or movie. 😊

I received this card from China and noticed that there’s an extra two digits on the date stamp! Does anyone know what it stands for? Could it maybe be the hour mark, or maybe something else?
It reads 20206.09.18.17 so it was posted in 2026, month of September (9) on the 18th or 17th day, or maybe on the 18th day at 17h (5 pm)?
I’m just curious, I love learning about other countries ways of doing things 🤓

I’ve been complaining about all the AI slop when sometimes all you want is to send an actual postcard with a view! I’m thrilled to announce that postcards are still well and alive in France- at least in La Réunion- there are local photographer ones and while I chose two designs there were more styles available- I was very happy to see that it’s not just stuff from the 90ies or AI generated! Felt like sharing because I need to send them to friends and family since I don’t have open slots atm. 5traveling.
