I think Arboliva is the peak humanoid pokemon, it's a step much closer to monster than like machamp and Gardevoir. I would still classify them as humanoid though.

Why can't it at least learn Dig????!!! Same with Oddish being stuck with Absorb until it learns Petal Dance at at least Level 39 if you hold off on evolving it into Gloom...

What design misconceptions have you had about certain pokemon? I listed a good example above that most people believed initially. What other examples do you have? It could even be related to its dex entry.

Any mix of regions! No legendaries or mythical though…

Mine would be Decidueye (my favourite Pokemon of all time), Arcanine, Luxray, Dragapault, Noivern and Mudkip

Art by me ✌️ (watercolour and pencil)

I wanted to lean into Bastiodon’s castle/Bastion theming, so I added a long, wall-like tail and made the legs resemble towers, with a brick pattern scattered over the body, with the idea that a curled up Mega Bastiodon would resemble a castle with towers surrounded by a wall.

I also cooked up some overpowered abilities for fun that revolve around Mega Bastiodon being an “impenetrable castle.”

Pardon my detailwork I got tired of shading so I did basic shadows and called it a day, and for the last picture I swapped the tail to the other side and did a quick sketch of the full body.

Golbat: The Bat Pokémon Golbat loves to drink the blood of living things. It becomes active on inky dark moonless nights, flying around to attack people and Pokémon. Its fangs easily puncture even thick animal hide. It clamps down on its prey with needle-sharp fangs and drains over 10 ounces of blood in one gulp. Once it bites, it will not stop draining energy from the victim even if it gets too heavy to fly. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> This next minifigure MOC was my next experiment in implementing bat and dragon wings into a Pokémon miniature. I gave it the bigger wings, since it's quite a bulky build thanks to its big open maw, which was surprisingly challenging to build! Brendan is now stuck between a Golbat using Supersonic and another Golbat using Confuse Ray!

• Oddish, Gloom and Vileplum are already done.
• Same for Poliwag, Poliwhirl and Politoed.
• Bonsly is a Gen4 Pokemon so it won't be here. Same for Azurill being a Gen3 Pokemon.
• Mega Pharamp is a Gen6 form; won't be here.

For Reddit community : this project is called Pokemon Knights (inspired by Xenoblade, Final Fantasy XV, Dragon Quest and Elden Ring)

(The First Generation is already done; so i wont redesign the Gen 1 Pokemons again.)

Hey everyone! 👋

I just finished this high-action 2D animation sequence, blending organic "slime/water" blob physics with an explosive power-up expansion inspired by classic fight anime.

This project is part of a personal journey revisiting my history with a Pokémon Nuzlocke. The entire process—from the rough lineart to the 3-tone cel-shading and final compositing—was done frame-by-frame to aim for a high-performance anime studio aesthetic.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the animation timing, impact, and water physics! Which Pokémon sequence should I tackle next? 👇
