The GOAT:

I want to try that controller out so badly. For some reason I just love trying out weird experimental PS controllers.

There was a boomerang shaped PS1 controller but it has a different D-pad and no analog sticks.

love that every generation brought something new. sticks and rumble on ps1, pressure sensitive buttons on ps2, wireless and motion on ps3, the touchpad on ps4, and haptics with adaptive triggers on ps5

After using a dualsense for years holding a PS2 controller is the weirdest thing. It feels so uncomfortable in my hand.

If you have one in your house just try it, it's a weird feeling

Just gotta get used to it, that's all. I have a DualShock 3 at hand, I use it a lot for older titles so it feels more "authentic." I don't remember if it felt weird the first time but it definitely doesn't now.

I swap between 2, 3 and 5 often. Definitely different but it's nice. It makes sense.

Neither of those are the PSone controller.
The PSone is the slim version of the PlayStation and its controller is an off-white dualschock

You’re missing one for ps1. There were three. The standard, the dual analog and then the dual shock.

Somehow the PS3 controller was the worst one here. It genuinely feels like it could crumble with a light squeeze

The PS3’s controllers were tiny and felt really brittle. PS4 is the goat.

Ironically enough, this is a real PSone controller.
The ones listed are technically PS or PSX controllers.

Ironically enough, this is a real PSX controller.

Top left isn’t PS one. It’s just PlayStation. PS one is specifically the tiny model remake that had a lighter white controller.

The first one is PlayStation not PSone. The name PSone was only for the slim model and was being produced when the PS2 was already out.

Ps4 controller is my favorite. Just feels right to me.

The PS4 Dualshock 4 was peak ergonomic design a true evolution of the original sony controller.

I'm pretty sure both variants of the PlayStation controller are older than the PSOne.

Errmmmm akshually the PSone is only the little light grey revision, the original one is just "PlayStation" 🤓☝️

The first controller is PlayStation controller, not PS one.

Dualsense easily the best one

PS4 Controller is simply the single best video game controller of all time.

Honestly, I think the PS5 Dualsense is a nearly perfect evolution of the design. The curves fit my hands much more naturally. The weight is perfect. The haptics and trigger resistance are cool additions. The light bar integration is way sleeker (do we all forget the PS4 DualShock had a flashlight on the front? You couldn't even adjust the intensity at first, it was always max!).

I don't miss anything about the PS4 controller over the current design.
