I've been building CHICKAROO, a 2D platformer about a small, determined chick, for a while now. Fruit of my imagination first and foremost, all helped with Claude, Codex and Gemini in concert to build it and tune it. It has over 10 stages Each stage brings its own new mechanics and will feel familiar to players used to platformers, it's an hommage to a few of the classics. there are also power ups to experiment with. The game doesn't contain a single image file. Every character, enemy, background and effect is drawn live in real time in code on every frame with an engine built from scratch in pure html/javascript zero prebuilt livbraries or anthing, and all the sound effects are generated in real time with Web Audio. That's about 40,000 lines of plain JavaScript, with no engine and nothing to install. It runs in the browser on desktop with a gamepad, or on your phone with touch controls. The best way to experiencie it is not with touch controls or keyboard but with a gamepad plugged in , ideally on a pc with a gamepad (or on mobile with a gameplay it works very nicely too). The music is generated from custom prompts in google lyria. Enjoy the ride 🐣
