Forage

Post image

What do yall feed your pigs for forage over the winter? I have two Kune Kunes and they show zero interest in hay. It is nice and soft, second cutting orchard grass.

For leafy forage, hay, I add stuff to it so they have to root around for carrots and such, but I also do soaked grain, one cup per pig, and I stock up on squash/pumpkins, vegetables, etc. really cold nights/days, I do the grain, it doesn't take much.

So adding the treats to the hay encourages them to eat it?
