recommendations solo travel ideas for first time traveler

hello! i’m F22, physique is payat and i’m 38kg huhu. i’ve been doing solo dates for 2 years na ata pero most of them ay sa cafes and sa city ko lang coz i’m kinda scared doing activities alone kasi baka di kaya ng katawan ko. but i want something new bago matapos ang 2026 hanggang next year hehe. i just graduated college and also passed my board exam kaya rest muna and planning to travel.

for a beginner like me, ano kayang magandang gawin? huhu need ko kasi talaga sya pag-isipan coz if i’ll go to beaches, di ako marunong mag-swim. if hiking naman, natatakot akong baka mahimatay ako in the middle of the hike lol.

got some ideas para naman sulit yung rest ko ng nov and december please? 🙏🏼

advice Puerto Galera trip this undas 2027

Hello! Ask ko lang if anyone here has tried traveling to PG during the undas season huhu I’ve already booked almost everything online, incl the fast craft, hotel, and tours, except for the bus going to Batangas Port.

Wala kasi akong makitang reliable website where I can book bus tickets online para sana hindi na kami pumila. I’ll be traveling with my partner and toddler, so I’m a bit worried na baka mahaba ang pila sa cubao terminals.

Can anyone suggest a reliable website where I can book bus tickets? Or for those who have traveled during undas season, OA ba yung pila sa bus terminals? Based on what I’ve read naman, every hour ang biyahe ng mga bus, but I’m not sure if that’s enough during the holiday rush.

Baka may masuggest na rin kayong restaurants or food spots in PG! 🫶🏻

Thank you in advance!!

Hello! I'm planning to book a flight sa dates above for my birthday. However, I've seen some posts na cinancel yung flights nila sa week ng asean summit (so far nakikita ko palang naman ay within 16-18). Do you think safe na after? Thank you!

advice Boracay this November

My gf and I finally will be in Boracay next month! We wanna make the most of it so I wanted to drop by and ask the experts here.

Is November a good month to visit Bora? We know the weather can sometimes be tricky around this time of the year. What should we generally expect in terms of rain, wind, and beach conditions?

We’re staying for 8 days, which feels like plenty of time for an island like Boracay. What are your absolute favorite fun activities for couples to try out? Thank you!!

advice Does the philippines match us?

Hey everyone,
My girlfriend and I are planning our next trip (approx. 3 weeks), and we are seriously eyeing the Philippines, but we have a few doubts and could use some honest advice.
A bit about our travel style: We are fast-paced explorers. We love riding scooters, exploring local villages, hiking, seeing culture, and having a good mix of nature and action. We do like a nice beach or snorkeling for a couple of hours, but after that, we usually get "itchy fingers" and want to move or do something. South Korea matched us pretty good with a good variety. Surely we won't find Seoul on the philippines..

Here is what we are struggling with regarding the Philippines:
1. Monotony risk: We are a bit afraid that if we just hop from island to island (like Palawan, etc.), it will eventually feel repetitive after a week—just more white sand, beaches, and boat tours. Is there enough variety (mountains, culture, jungle, food) if you stay for 3 weeks?

  1. Logistics & Pace: We know that moving around the Philippines takes a lot of time (ferries, flights, weather delays). Does a 3-week trip turn into a logistical nightmare for fast-paced travelers, or can you structure it so it stays exciting?

  2. Alternative regions: Should we look into specific regions like Northern Luzon (revolving around Banaue/Sagada) combined with Cebu/Bohol to avoid the pure "beach-only" fatigue?
We aren't looking for luxury resorts; we want genuine adventure, good vibes, and things to do. For those of you who have been there:

Does the Philippines fit a fast-paced explorer style, or is it better suited for people who mainly want to relax on a beach?

itinerary Need help with Trip ideas

I’m flying into Cebu January and staying in ph for 3 weeks.

I live in NYC and need to get away from a city environment and be in nature, and the ocean. I booked this trip because chat gpt told me shore fishing is great here 😂, but upon further research I learned it’s not that good because the Philippine shores are very overfished and I’ll need to get a boat to do any fishing

My current itinerary is Cebu- siquijor- and maybe palawan. I’ll appreciate any information given I would like to find other islands to visit and things to do.

advice Car Rental rate to Tagaytay?

Hi guys, what's the usual rate, or how much kaya magiging rate for a car rental from Rizal to Tagaytay? Relatives are going to visit from Visayas and they want to visit Tagaytay kasi.

Thank you.

advice Baguio or something similar

Hi. I'm planning a chill 5 day trip to relax, catch some cooler weather, and try new things. I'm thinking of taking a sleeper bus from Manila to Baguio.

My ideal vacation is comfortable and convenient. Yung walang lakaran na parang hiking or places na walang malapit na hotels/proper facilities. I don't mind long walks on flat or gentle terrain, but I prefer good public transportation where I don’t have to wait ages for a jeepney. I really just want somewhere laid-back where I can sit, admire the view, and zone out for a few hours. Yung parang bida lang sa teleserye.

Is Baguio a good fit for this, or are there similar spots in the Philippines I should consider? (If it ends up being too expensive, I might just fly abroad instead, lol.)

I'm from Iloilo btw.

itinerary Advice or recommendations

Asking for recommendations and advice. Planning a trip to palawan. Want to try jet skiing, but I read it's only available in Cowrie. Are there any agencies that can combine with Port Barton trip as well? Like a customized Honda Bay tour with Port Barton tour package. Pwede ba yon? Thanks in advance.

recommendations Planning my first solo trip in the PH! Need recommendations and reality checks

I finally decided to bite the bullet and do a local solo trip, but I’m honestly overwhelmed with options. For the women here who frequently travel solo, which places do you personally recommend for a first-timer?

Where did you go and what did you absolutely love doing there? Please drop your favorite food spots too!

I'm also trying to figure out the practical side of things: how did you handle transportation, what was your budget like, and did you feel safe the whole time?

Also, is it easy to make friends in the places you visited, or is it better suited for a quiet, isolated retreat?

Would love to hear your personal experiences to help me decide!

recommendations 5-6 hours driving distance from Manila?

Can you recommend a city or place my partner and I can visit from November 14 to 17 that is about a 4- to 6-hour drive from Manila? Beach is okay, city is okay. We just want to get out of Manila during that long weekend in NCR.

Would appreciate hotel recommendations, too. No AirBNB, please. We kind of like the luxury feels of a hotel kasi with breakfast. Just so we don't need to worry about much, and may daily cleaning. Thanks so much.

EDITED: Preferably places WITHOUT paranormal experiences or stories haha

help Flight arrival question

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello guys! My Ate booked her flight from to Toronto to Manila. She's leaving there on 12:50am on the 24th-Toronto Time. Flight duration is 16 hours. I thought that we should be in Naia on the 25th morning considering customs and all. But then my other sister said it should be 26 since +1 day.

My thought process was 12:50am is 12noon on the 24th here in PH so + 16 hours that 6am next day 25th. Im so confused. Baka kailangan ko lang itulog to hahahaah.

advice Iloilo-Bacolod/Guimaras, Davao-Samal, Albay, or Bukidnon-Camiguin

Hi guys! My partner and I are planning a domestic anniversary trip in May 2027, and we’re currently choosing between these four destinations, quick getaway lang sana. We’re considering either 4D3N or 5D4N trip. Our budget is around 30-35k.

Thank you po!! 😊

advice Planning diving and other water sport trip in Feb 2027

Hi. First time doing an overseas trip to the Philippines but mainly for exploring and diving. We may also give kite surfing a go (I am experienced but not my friend), and wave surfing if possible. Has anyone done these water sports over there and what was it like? Ideally I'd like to hire all the equipment once there so as to not have to carry anything large. We're coming from Australia. Thanks

advice Is ₱19k+ one way flight ticket from Manila to Kazakhstan is considered as cheap?

Hi, I am planning to go to Central Asia next year. I’m checking flights for one way for now going to Almaty, Kazakhstan and I saw a ₱19k+ one way ticket MNL - BKK - ALA but it only has 7kg carry on only. ₱22.8k+ if with 20kg baggage. I’m not sure if this is already considered as cheap.

I’m planning to go around February or March. Also is it worth it to go around this month or should I just wait for their spring or summer even it cost a little bit more?

Any tips or things I should need to know? TIA 😊
