3 cylinder PSA engines (EB series) warranty (Oiled belt) UPDATE
Hi everyone! On the Spanish CarWOW channel they just broke news about a new warranty extension to all 3 cylinder petrol PSA Puretech engines, the ones with the oiled belt decomposition issues. They'll be extending the warranty to 10 years or 170k km as long as you have done the service intervals in time (and can prove it with invoices and such) without the need to had have them done at the official dealership as it is illegal under EU law to do so in order to void warranties.
The video specifies that the engine will be covered for that amount, as well as a new change for the service interval of the belt. Also, it only affects the 3 cylinder variants, and will be retroactive, with the last engine covered being from summer 2022, when hybrid tech was launched.
There is no information on what will happen to those who carried out the proper maintenance intervals and still got a huge repair bill; if that money will be reimbursed or not.

Peugeot 407 3.0 V6 - Why did they put this connector on top of the engine?
2005 Peugeot 407 3.0 V6 petrol (211 hp), approaching 400,000 km.
Why did Peugeot put this wiring harness connector right on top of the engine, where it's constantly exposed to heat?
After nearly 400,000 km, the connector has started melting and deforming, around the same time other plastic components in the engine bay became brittle and started breaking from years of heat exposure.
Even scrapyards won't sell me a replacement because theirs are melted too. I suspect this connector may also be responsible for some intermittent electrical issues.
Turns out, extending just three wires is enough to relocate the entire harness next to the fuse box/BSM module. Instead of 60-70°C, it's now exposed to around 20-30°C, and accessing the engine cover and other components is much easier.
Currently testing the new layout. Replacing the damaged connector is next.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Why was it designed this way?

Obd scanner - mot
i have had re map while ago in March due to engine light constantly coming on due to ad blue emissions ect, after re map had no issues, then 4 months later went back to same place who did remap to get car serviced, which then after svs engine light came back on with codes p20EE stored and p2a00 pending. i‘ve been back and forth with them and they keep saying they will re map again but always never ends up happening and they just clear and then come back on bit after, my mot is due soon and I have a obd scanner, which keeps it off for couple days, can I do this before my mot to clear the engine light Or not

Parking Brake Light
Hello,
After turning off my car, how long should the parking brake and gearbox lights remain on for?
I have an E-3008, it has been charging for 30+ minutes and it’s still showing.
I couldn’t find anything in the manuals

XU10J4RS Engine drawing wallpaper i made
One of my dream cars is the 306 GTi-6 and I love the XU engine in those machines so I made this wallpaper myself. It's not perfect since I just sourced a bunch of random photos from very old forums so if you think it looks bad in certain areas, I agree lol (if anyone has anything similar to this, doesn't matter which car or engine, I would love to see for future inspiration)

Economy mode and code readers (207 SW)
Probably best I start at the top. I have a very short commute, 7 minutes each way and rarely drive my car further than about 15 minutes. As a result, the battery never fully charges, especially during the winter months when I’ve often got the fan blowing to clear the screen and the lights on. Every now and again the car won’t start (due to low battery) so I jump or bump start it or charge it and I’m away.
Last week I had to change all four tyres (I have access to a manual tyre changer) and had to move the car to get the wheels off. I knew it was unlikely to start twice so I left the engine running while I changed the tyres as there was no one around to help start it with leads or a push. Long story short, the tyre changing took two hours so the car was running all that time. I kept an eye on the coolant temp and it stayed at 90, which is normal running temp. Oil temp never even reached normal running temp, so I know nothing over heated. The car was misfiring a little as I drove away but I assumed an oily plug or something and it seemed to clear after a while.
Anyway, went to start the car yesterday morning and it cranked over slowly, then started for about a second before cutting out. Wouldn’t start again after that.
Came back later with jump leads and although it cranks over nice and fast and occasionally splutters, it won’t run.
In the course of trying to start it, the car went into “economy mode” to preserve battery life. Conveniently I’d opened a window which I now can’t close of course.
I used an fault code reader which didn’t show any faults, but I’m now wondering whether this is because it’s in economy mode. Can anybody advise?
I know all the usual things to look for if the car won’t start, coil pack, crank sensor etc. I just want to know if the fault code reader will be effected by the car being in economy mode.
For reference, it’s a 2008 1.6 model, petrol.
Many thanks,
Tim

Peugeot 308 2014 Feline driver side footwell leak
Ive recently had constant driver side footwell leaks when it rains (which is everyday). The leak seems to be coming out of the centre console and drips into the footwell. Photo attached showing leak on left side. Passenger side and everything else stays dry. Does anyone have any recommendations to fix?

My Peugeot doesn’t let me login
The MyPeugeot app hasn’t let me log in since today. It just freezes on this screen (see updated attachment).
Also, CarPlay keeps connecting and disconnecting after a few seconds, and the cycle repeats continuously.
Has anyone experienced the same issue or found a fix?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Activation
Hey community!
Today, I wanted to share a little endeavour I did this week: how to retrofit adaptive cruise control in PSA Groupe/stellantis cars, especifically to my e2008 to which I found little documentation online and I'm hoping to help all interested parties in doing this really useful addition to your car.
A big thanks to u/miguelkun, and all credits should go to him, who documented it first and who helped me tirelessly.
This activation should work more or less identically on models starting from the Peugeot 508, in which I think this version of PSA's adaptive cruise control + lane keeping assist was introduced, and until the 3rd generation 308, in which the electronic systems were overhauled and I'm not sure that the processes should be the same. It also is a really broad adaptation; I'd recommend your car has RADAR + ADAS camera, but I've heard that it can work with just the ADAS Camera, with decreased reliability.
In my case, I've activated it in my 2021 e-2008 and it's so far working flawlessly. these steps should be identical for other (e-)CMP vehicles like the Corsa/Mokka(-e), (ë)C4 and etc. it really is a really simple coding job once you know what you need to do.
You will need nothing more than a Windows PC, PyPSADiag, an Arduino CAN module with Arduino-PSA-Diag loaded up and a bit of patience.
To prep your Arduino, I'd recommend you follow VLUD.net's guide on how to prep it, but I can give a few tips on how to do it a bit more economically if you so desire. You can just pick up a cheap Arduino Uno clone and an MCP2515 out of AliExpress and a OBD2 splitter. wire it up like this, attach pin 3 and pin 8 of the splitter to CAN-L and CAN-H on the MCP2515 and follow all steps of the VLUD guide, without forgetting to change one line of code that establishes the can frequency to 8MHz, as that is normally the frequency that the basic mcp2515 operate at. you can always check yours, as it's the number written on your module's crystal oscillator.
Next, you can open pypsadiag, check that the Arduino connection option is selected and that the right COM port is selected - it should be by default but you can always check. click connect with your Arduino already connected to your obd port and it should connect. Once it connects, you should click "open zone file" and open the jsons that refer to the ECUs: ESP90, CVM3, BSI, VCU, RADAR AV4, NAC and CIROCCO. Click read and save the CSVs on a safe location and label them properly! even though the risk of miscoding or bricking an ECU is really low, it could still happen and these files store all the stock ECU parameters. it's even helpful if you ever decide ACC isn't good for you. Afterwards, enable all mentions of ACC - ACC30 if your car is a manual, ACC Stop&Go if it's an EV or Automatic, AFIL and full lane keeping assist on these modules and click write for every ECU. For visual reference, you can click here to see the app layout, so that you can better understand what I'm saying.
Note that, by opening up the cirocco JSON, I could only read the cirocco programming, but not actually code the parameters I wanted. I was able to do that on COMBINE_UDS_EV. If that happens to you, try with the different jsons inside the COMBINE folder, one of these should work for you. To write to the ESP90, it is likely that the default code (the 3rd option on the right of the coding area) will likely not be the right code for your ECU. try the different codes provided in that area and it should work. On the BSI, it is normal that pypsadiag freezes or seems to have crashed. it's normal, it will resume normal operation once it has read all of the data it needs. On the driving assistance tab, zone 2348, do NOT select ACC with RVV2+LVV. in my case, it resulted in my car being wwithout cruise control until i rectified it. on zone 2452, is where you should specify your hardware - that is, if you only have only RADAR, only ADAS Camera or RADAR+ADAS Camera.
On the cirocco/combine section, you can code your lane depature warning button to now work as your autosteer button, so that you not only have ACC, but also autosteer without having to buy and fit a new button board (note that it will only work on ACC). You clone the LPA Push input and LED output values and put them on the LKA button ones. To enable the ACC indicator on the COMBINE, you should deselect LVV indicator, otherwise that setting won't save.
And, that's it! you now should have full blown level 2 driving on your car! in cars with this cruise control stalk, you can simply use the top MEM button to change the distance to the car in front. Unfortunately for our opel brothers, since their cruise control is on the wheel itself, you will need to order either a new steering wheel, or just new steering wheel buttons that have the ACC Distance button on them.

2011 Peugeot 508 sw rear light electrical connector
I can't seem to be able to disconnect the electrical connector for the rear light on the body, not the trunk, was wondering if anyone else had a hard time with it and how they eventually did disconnect it.

308GT Stuck in Eco/Sport
Hi all, currently drive a 2023 Peugeot 308GT.
I came to my car yesterday to find that it booted up into eco mode - it has never done that (it always starts in normal mode and I have to manually select either eco or sport). When I use the mode toggler switch in the center of the car, I can see the three modes on my dash, but it will only let me select sport or eco.
When I toggle to 'normal' it automatically puts me into eco mode.
I had an issue with my display before and left my car for a while, allowing the computer to fully shut off and when coming back after an hour it had solved the problem. Assumed it may be something similar for this. I left it overnight and I've come to it this morning and the problem is still there!
Anyone dealt with this before?
