Frustration here. I applied to a PCR position in Benin on Sept. 1. It said that people usually hear something 25-60 days after submission. Today it is 56 days since I submitted the application and my status is still "Applied". Hoping that it moves to "Under Review" this week. It feels like I'm supposed to be doing something but I have received no requests for additional info or documents from Peace Corps. Just hoping they haven't gotten to it yet and that this isn't going to lead to outright rejection without it being reviewed.

I'm in a similar position. Applied in early July, under review in late august, nothing since.  At least I haven't been rejected!  I kind of wonder if they just wait until close to the deadline to interview, instead of on a more rolling basis with regular PC.  There's a bunch of other postings for my same country...I bet the same person is responsible for all of them plus probably the regular program, and that could be a lot to deal with.

I applied to a PCR position in Malawi last year and from my experience they wait until after the application deadline to schedule interviews etc. I got an invitation but then had some hold ups with the medical clearance so didn't end up going this past year but re-applied for this coming year.

If the position is still accepting applications most likely you will not hear anything until the closed date or at least that was my experience.
