They've been doing an overall bad job on the teasers for a while imo.. The cadence and timing is always so annoying, even when there are some cool teasers there..

The coolest ones recently were when they added a dead totem to some videos to signify the totem rework.. Or those for PoE 2 0.5

The simplest reason is because those same people that work on teasers are absolutely swamped setting up exilecon. They've been working on doing it for a long time too. It's a lot more work than people think.

Like, I'm sorry, but we aren't talking about a cinematic here - teasers are literally something like a screenshot of a unique. It's done in one afternoon for the whole pre-reveal-week. They just don't feel like doing it, that's all.

This isn't a reasonable take.

This is the kind of job where it will keep 3 people busy, and if you add a 4th then suddenly they have fuckall to do when things aren't crazy busy because you're planning for one of the biggest launches your company has ever done.

I'm betting they don't have the afternoon to spare. Have you not seen them recently struggling to get everything out. I really love POE2 and I'm hopeful for 1.0 but getting here seems like they've been time crunch on time crunch

The core community loved Bex and thus Bex was part of the community for so long, but during a couple of rough patches, the sub attracted so much trolls and bad apples that broke the bond. Sad, the actual teasers are still good but the quirky deliveries are gone. I wonder how Bex is doing nowadays, hopefully well.

Basic marketing would be to build hype (better yet — constant never ending hype and strict timetable), as well as acknowledging the fact that 99.9% of your userbase will not be there (and around 80% will never know about it)

Was 3.29 reveal on July 5th,

Full reveal was the July 16th,

Launch of the season was July 24th.

Right now, all we know is launch of 3.30 is November 13th. And not a single teaser has dropped yet, that's roughly 19 days away, (And some change.)

If they followed their own release schedule, we should be getting our first video teaser today.

It’s a wee early for teasers. They’re usually 1 week before reveal. Reveal at exilexon is 11/6 so I’d expect closer to Halloween they’ll start.

If I’m not mistaken, there were no teasers for TOTA before its reveal at Exilecon 2023. I would expect the same here.
