Hola
I would like to spare with a friend of mine.
We both have a fighting background and just wanna have a bit of fun for an hour or two.
Is there some kind of indoor vicinity where we could do that without becoming a member in a fighting gym?
I at this point am too far away from Passau to get anything out of being a member and my friend is already with a fighting gym, but they don’t allow outsiders in.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Servus zusammen! 👋
🖕 FUCK TRUMP
🖕 FUCK AfD
🖕 FUCK NAZIS
🖕 FUCK PUTIN
🇺🇦 STAND WITH UKRAINE
❤️ LOVE PEOPLE
🍻 LET'S PARTY!
Was euch erwartet:
🔥 Feuertonnen und Feuerstelle
👻 Gruselige Halloween-Deko
🎶 Musik und gute Stimmung
🍻 Kostenlose Getränke
🍔 Kostenloses Essen
🎃 Kostüme gerne gesehen, aber kein Muss!
💸 Kein Eintritt, keine versteckten Kosten!
📍 Wo: Aldersbach, Landkreis Passau
📅 Wann: Samstag, 31. Oktober 2026
🕔 Beginn: Ab 17 Uhr
Good People. Good Music. Free Drinks. Great Party! 🎃🍻🔥

Hey 👋
I landed in passau three weeks ago. I am a masters student and I'm am genuinely finding it hard to make friends here.
Passau itself is a beautiful place but I seem to be unable to find a friend with whom I can go to walks or hikes or explore surroundings.
Hit me up if you're going through the same struggle or are looking for friends in general!

Hey everyone! 👋
I'm planning to study at the University of Passau, but I'm a bit concerned about finding a part-time job there as an international student. I'm hoping to work part-time at places like McDonald's, Burger King, cafés, or other similar places to support my living expenses. However, I don't know German yet, so I'm worried that language might be a barrier when looking for a job.
For those currently studying in Passau or who have lived there, how difficult is it to find part-time jobs without knowing German? Is it realistic to find work in fast-food chains, cafés, or other places where English might be enough?
I'm also open to considering other universities in Germany if the part-time job opportunities are significantly better in those cities.
I'd really appreciate any advice or recommendations based on your personal experiences. Thanks in advance! 😊

Hi eveyone,
I just bought a used bike from Kleinanzeige. Do you recommend any inspection service or shop that would do it in Passau?
Thanks all!

Hey everyone!
I'm making another post because I'm a bit confused about how to approach the housing situation in Passau.
I'm an international student moving to Passau to study AI at the University of Passau, and I'm looking for accommodation from November.
I've been searching online, mainly on WG-Gesucht, but finding a suitable place has been quite difficult. I'm considering two options:
My main question is: Are there actually more rooms available in Passau than what we see advertised online? Is there a realistic chance of finding better and more affordable places by being physically present in the city, talking to people, visiting WGs, and exploring local housing groups?
Or is the situation pretty much the same, and arriving without long-term accommodation would just make things more stressful?
I'd especially appreciate advice from students who have recently moved to Passau or gone through the same process. If you managed to find a room after arriving, how did you go about it?
I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth spending extra money on temporary accommodation in the hope of finding something better, or whether I should secure a place online before arriving.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey everyone!
I'm an international student moving to Passau to study AI at the University of Passau, and I'm currently looking for accommodation starting in November.
My budget is ideally €300–350 per month, preferably including utilities, but I'm open to considering suitable options slightly above that.
I'm looking for a private room in a shared apartment (WG), preferably furnished, with the option to register my address (Anmeldung).
I'm friendly, tidy, respectful of others' privacy, and happy to live in a social WG. I'd prefer somewhere reasonably close to the university or well connected by public transport.
If you have a room available or know someone looking for a flatmate, please DM me. I'd really appreciate any leads!
Thanks! :)

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a nice cafe to work in. So basically I'd need free Wi-Fi and ideally power outlets.
I'm staying in Pocking and don't mind driving to nearby towns for the right spot. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Is there a private room that student can rent to learn musical instrument or any options of learning Instrument in passau as a hobby? That is not too expensive

Hey guys!
I recently moved to Passau for my master’s and was wondering if there are any gyms or clubs here that offer MMA training. I’ve been training for around 2 years and would love to continue training here.
If you know any good places, please let me know.

Hey everyone!
I’m an incoming international researcher moving to Passau for a 1-year research stay at the University of Passau starting April 2027.
I am looking strictly for a private 1-room apartment or studio flat (1-Zimmer-Wohnung) where I have my own private kitchen and bathroom (not looking for a shared WG/flatshare).
Quick Details:
Budget: Ideally around €400–€600 Warmmiete (all utilities included).
Duration: April 2027 – March 2028 (~12 months).
Preferred Areas: Open to any area with good bus connectivity to campus (Hacklberg, Grubweg, Haidenhof-Süd, Heining, Kohlbruck, or central).
A bit about me: I’m in my late 20s, non-smoker, clean, quiet, and fully funded through my fellowship.
If you know of an apartment opening up around late March/April 2027, or have any leads/contacts for private landlords, please send me a DM. Thanks a lot!

Hello everyone, I will be staying in Passau for a few days next week due to my gf attending a conference there. Since I work remote, I'm looking for some recommendations for places that would be a good spot (decent internet connection, some nice food or coffee, the classic remote worker’s needs).
I would also be happily take recommendations for any nice restaurant in the city, preference of course for Bavarian food but any cuisine will do (just not Italian please). Thank you very much for any help!
